Presenting at HeartChurch: Cecilia Rivera

Greetings to the #HeartChurch Community, I am Cecilia Rivera from Venezuela and today I want to share a word about the Family and how family should be a piece of heaven on earth.

The Garden of Eden, in which our first parents lived, was prepared by God himself. After placing in him everything that only one person could wish for, God said, "Let us make man in our image and likeness" (Genesis 1:26).

The Lord was pleased with this last and most wonderful creation and wanted man to be a perfect inhabitant of a perfect world. But it was not his intention for the man to live alone. The Lord said, “It is not good to be a man alone; we will make him an assistant according to him ”(Genesis 2:18).

God Himself gave Adam a life partner equal to him, who could become his friend, respond to his love, and sympathize with him. Eve was made from a rib taken from Adam; This meant that she could not dominate him as the head of the family and was not subordinate to him as subordinate, but was on an equal footing with him to love and protect her. Being part of a man, bone of his bones and flesh of his flesh, she gave him up as a second "me", creating a close alliance with him and nurturing a tender affection inherent to him in this relationship. “Therefore, a man will leave his father and mother and join his wife; and two will be one flesh ”(Genesis 2:24).

Those who make God first in their families and teach their children to love him, glorify God before angels and people, representing the world as a well-organized and disciplined family. Christ will not be a stranger in such families. Angels rejoice in a house where God is the supreme ruler and where children are taught to respect religion, the Bible, and their Creator.

Only the presence of Christ can make people happy. Christ can turn the water of life into heavenly wine. Then the house becomes a paradise and the family - a beautiful symbol of a heavenly family.
