Water is life
Genesis 29:2-3; And he looked, and behold a well in the field, and lo, there were three flocks of sheep lying by it; for out of that well they watered the flocks; and a great stone was upon the well's mouth. And thither were all the flocks gathered; and they rolled the stone from the well's mouth, and watered the sheep, and put the stone again upon the well's mouth in his place.
We all know the importance of water in our daily lives, scientist always repeat to our hearing how the body has a 2/3 water composition and how one ought to take about 8 bottles of water every day to keep the system healthy and a whole lot of other stuff. All this goes on to emphasize how much it is essential for one to have water.
Now what happens when we do not get water to get our thirst, we wither and die and this goes for all creation kingdom animalia and kingdom plantae alike. Let bring this to the life of a Christian. Christians worship God this spirit because He is a Spiritual Being and thus all who worship him must do so in Truth and in Spirit.
Which means our spiritual self out to grow, it ought to be nourished and its thirst quenched lest it withers and dies. Meaning we have to water our spirit, and where do we get this water that will keep the soul and spirit going? It is the Spirit of God in us, do not forget that when the Lord created man he breathe into us giving us a part of his essence. So for our spirit to keep going the essence of God in us must be kept alive, healthy, strong and on fire.
This we can do through keeping the Word of God in our hearts and in our minds, reading and meditating upon it daily, keeping away from sin and anything else that the Lord frowns upon and strengthen the ministry of God through spread of the gospel. Do not let your spirit thirst, quench the thirst, eat the Word, stay blessed.
