Dear brothers and sisters in Christ
In the letter to the Romans, verse (Romans 12: 4-5), the apostle Paul calls attention to the church and its varied composition of people. Many might think that the church is a building in which its interior has benches and religious objects for worship, this being a simple abstraction of its meaning. The reality is that the church is a living body in which people of different races, interests, professions meet to worship and bless the Almighty God and give proof of their faith in Christ. This diversity is what the Apostle Paul refers to, in which his teaching was directed that being a single body, each member of the church must respect the other since this gives unity and strength to the commitment to spread the good news of salvation of Our Lord Jesus Christ.
Thus, the Risen Christ gave his apostles the mandate to make disciples of all nations and spread the good news of the gospel as we read in Matthew 28:19,
19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
The reflections of today accompanied with what was expressed by the Apostle Paul in (1 Corinthians 13) in which each of us has different gifts and abilities that we offer to the Lord, but in everything the most important of all is love of God and neighbor.
For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. Romans 12:4-5 NIV
