Our Helper

One of the names of God that is very significant is EL-Shaddie by interpretation; the many breasted one. It signifies the close intimate relationship between a father and a child. In the literal sense, the mother breastfeeds the child with a pair of breast, but the father lives his life for the expression of what the child will suck until he or she becomes independent.

And as the king of Israel was passing by upon the wall, there cried a woman unto him, saying, Help, my lord, O king. And he said, If the LORD do not help thee, whence shall I help thee? out of the barnfloor, or out of the winepress? 2 Kings 6:26-27 KJV (Biblia)

The whole truth is that essentially, man can not help himself without repercussions. What we have experience today in the world is as a result man seeking to help himself.

God, our Father manifests Himself such that even when we feel we have grown, he still comes to our help in many forms.

  • God helps and comforts us in times of trouble. Hebrews 2:18
  • God turns out unpleasant situations to work in our advantage. Hebrews 2:18
  • God uses problems to strengthen us
  • God knows and meets our needs before they arise.
  • When we are faced with life's battle, God gives us victory in it all.
  • God gives us the spirit of boldness when we are encouter fearful situations.
  • God prepares our blessings for us before we reach them.

God helps us because:

  1. We only rely on Heaven's provision and help.
  2. The world will not come to the believers help.
  3. He will never forsake His children.
  4. To prepare us for kingdom expansion.
  5. To show forth His glory.

HOW TO BENEFIT FROM GOD'S HELP

  • YOU MUST BE BORN AGAIN John 3:3, 1Peter 1:23.
  • YOU MUST TRUST GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART FOR HIS HELP Proverbs 3:5, Psalm 42:11
  • YOU MUST HAVE FAITH TO RECEIVE GOD'S HELP Luke 1:45
  • YOU MUST HEAR AND PRACTICE GOD'S WORD Duetronomy 5:32-33
  • YOU MUST CAST YOUR CARES AND WORRIES TO GOD. 1PETER 5:7

The help of God is for His children. To qualify for His help, you must become His child by forsaking your old ways and confessing Jesus as your Lord and Personal Saviour.

Heavenly father we thank you for today. We ask that you come to our help in all that we do. Help us to live as your children and bless the work of our hands in Jesus Name! Amen
