The Fall of Man And The work of Christ
Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. Acts 4:12 (Biblia)
Every human being Born into this world is born a sinner by default as a result of the disobedience of Adam in Eden. The Fall of Man deranked him from the cadre of God to a natural man. The natural man is spiritually dead and cannot no longer understand, obey or please God.
In affections, the natural man is corrupt and perverse in will and is naturally set on a course of destruction.
The Works of Christ gives eternal life (John 3:16), Changes the natural man's habits, testes desires, speech and motivations (Gal 5:19-21, Mk 7:21-23) and the Works of Christ guarantees that the believers name is written in God's book of Life (Rev 20:15, Jn 3:3-5)
SUMMARY OF THE WORKS OF CHRIST FOR MANKIND
Christ Jesus saved us from sin. He broke the dominion of sin of over mankind. (Matt 26:28,1:21, Jn 1:29, 1Jn 3:5)
Jesus delivered mankind from the power and works of satan. ( Col 1:13,1Jn 3:8)
Christ Jesus by His blood paid the ultimate price for sin and removed the curse of God on mankind. (Gal 3:13, 2Cor 5:21)
Man who offended God was reconciled back with God by Jesus acting (still acting) as a mediator between God and Man. (2Cor 5:17-21, 1Tim 2:5)
Christ Jesus registered our names (when we accepted Him as Lord and Personal Saviour) in God's book of Life. ( Rev. 20:15, Lk 10:20)
Jesus will present us into God, holy and blameless.( Col. 1:22-28)
Satan on the order hand is not folding his hands looking as his lawful captives are being delivered. He fights back by blinding the eyes and hearts of people such that even when God wants to pull them from ty path of destruction, they are stoned heart to the light of the gospel of Jesus Christ. 2Cor. 4:4.
The following could be the reasons people are hindered from accessing the works of Christ:
- Ignorance. 1 Tim 1:13
- Religious activities. Matt 5:20
- Ambitions. Eccl 9:12
- Fear of persecution. Jn 17:14, 1Pet 2:19-24,1Tim 3:12
- Besetting sins. Heb 12:1
- Coveteousness. Lk 12:15,Prov 15:16
- Quest for power. Ps 62:11,Eccl 2:9-11
- Worldliness. James 4:4, 2 Tim4:10
- Comfort and Riches. Lk 16:13, Prov 10:22
- Eye service to please men. 1Sam 31:4, 2Sam 1:5-6
- Self righteousness. Rom 10:3, Isa 64:6
A man who has accepted the works of Christ will simply be seen openly talking about Jesus as Lord and Saviour and will exibit a changed life, a righteous and holy life by the help of the Holy Spirit, will love the word of God and will love God more, he will fear God and be obedient to His words. They Holy Spirit will teach him all that he needs to know and even things to come,and will have the power to live the Christian Life.
For the Works of Christ to sustain us, we must give ourselves to the study of the scriptures ( Ps119:103,2Tim 2:15, 1Pet2:2). We must heed to prayer and constant fellowship with the brethren(heb 10:25), total submission to Christ (James 4:7) and witnessing Christ to others (Mk16:15, Mtt 5:15-5).
Galatians 5:1 (Biblia) Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
As believers, we must be differentiated from those who are not believers. This difference must be evidence in words, thoughts and actions. We must rely on God and let go of the old pattern of sin and every form of relationship that will lead to death and he'll. Rev 21:8.

Father we thank you for your mercies and your grace that has saved us from destruction. We ask that you help us to live and walk in you through Jesus Christ our Lord.
