Jesus Christ, Jairus' daughter and Lazarus - Kingdom Principles.

Could you please compare what happened to Jairus when they said his daughter had died, and Lazarus when they sent a message to Jesus saying that he was dying?

You will notice that both circumstances are kind of similar and infer situations that are about to die or have died physically.

We have many such circumstances all around us every day. A typical example will be an ongoing business transaction. Imagine that midway through negotiations they go awry and it looks like negotiations have collapsed and the deal looks scuttled.

That isn’t the time to make pronouncements that the deal is dead. It is rather a time to remember what God has said concerning the deal and choose to stick to what God has said and keep saying what God has said as opposed to what seems to be apparent.

This sounds counterintuitive but it is the way in the kingdom. You will see that when bad news (an evil report) was brought to Jairus, that wasn’t when the situation had changed and up until that time, he was still expectant of a miracle.

The girl most probably had died at least a good while before the news/evil report was brought. Jairus must have been thrilled following the watching of the miracle with the woman with the issue of blood. His own faith in Jesus Christ would have been boosted.

Alas, once the bad news (evil report) came, his mood most likely must have changed and Jesus perceived it. The Bible says Jesus overhead and ignored what was being said and He gave a strict injunction to Jairus. It is apparent that Jairus had started becoming fearful and obviously faith was going out of the window.

Jesus commanded him (and by extension is commanding us) to “stop the fear and to keep believing (trusting)”. The same thing happened in the case of Lazarus. Lazarus was physically dead when Jesus arrived in Bethany but his mission there was to rouse Lazarus up from slumber.

As far as he was concerned, whilst others were saying Lazarus was dead, he was seeing Lazarus as asleep in accordance with what he had pronounced earlier on (remember he had made a similar pronouncement concerning Jairus daughter-“the damsel is not dead but is asleep”).

It will put us in good stead if we consistently use the same words that the master used under similar circumstances (the words I speak are not my words but the words of him who sent me). Instead of being tempted to say that the deal is dead, rather say that the deal is asleep and that it will be woken up.

When this is done, it is very easy to stir up your faith and put God to work. It is easy at this point to say “deal, awaken” or “deal, come forth”. This is the way we should handle things in the kingdom. This little tip is for business fellows and can be applied to every other area of life.

Nothing can die except we permit it and say it. God will back you the very same way He backed Jesus.

Mark 5:21-24,35-36,39-42

And when Jesus was passed over again by ship unto the other side, much people gathered unto him: and he was nigh unto the sea. 22And, behold, there cometh one of the rulers of the synagogue, Jairus by name; and when he saw him, he fell at his feet, 23And besought him greatly, saying, My little daughter lieth at the point of death: [I pray thee], come and lay thy hands on her, that she may be healed; and she shall live.24And [Jesus] went with him; and much people followed him, and thronged him.
35While he yet spake, there came from the ruler of the synagogue's [house certain] which said, Thy daughter is dead: why troublest thou the Master any further? 36As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he saith unto the ruler of the synagogue, Be not afraid {5737}, only believe.
39And when he was come in,he saith unto them, Why make ye this ado, and weep? the damsel is not dead, but sleepeth.
41And he took the damsel by the hand, and said unto her, Talitha cumi; which is, being interpreted, Damsel, I say unto thee, arise. 42Andstraightway the damsel arose, and walked; for she was [of the age] of twelve years.

John 11:1,3-4,11

Now a certain man was sick, named Lazarus, of Bethany, the town of Mary and her sister Martha.
3 Therefore his sisters sent unto him, saying, Lord, behold, he whom thou lovest is sick.
4 When Jesus heard that, he said, This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby.
11 These things said he: and after that he saith unto them, Our friend Lazarus sleepeth; but I go, that I may awake him out of sleep.

John 6:63

It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

John 12:49

                                                                                                                                                                           >*For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.*

3 John 1:2

Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.

God bless you real good.
