THE BINDABLE AND THE LOOSEABLE.

Hello folk, I want you to see how translation and later interpretation can influence life down here. It can liberate or hold in bondage.

Do please follow with this scripture in Matthew 18:18

Matthew 18:18 (KJV)

*18 Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven : and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven .

We have been taught based on this translation that the heavenly realm backs us when we permit or forbid a thing. It gives us the impression that heaven is a step behind us and somehow we have to make the spirit realm catch up with us. In essence, the spirits ascent is futuristic.

This affects our faith in that we are looking forward to something happening. We are expecting it to happen in the spirit realm then we also expect thereafter in the physical. We try to convince heaven to back us.

Now see the proper translations and as such enabling proper interpretation.

Matthew 18:18 (YLT)

18 `Verily I say to you, Whatever things ye may bind upon the earth shall be having been bound in the heavens , and whatever things ye may loose on the earth shall be having been loosed in the heavens .

Matthew 18:18 (JMNT Translation)

18. "It is true (or: Truly; or: Make it so; or: Now listen), I now say to you folks, Whatsoever things you can at some point bind or should tie upon the earth will continue being things having already been tied or bound within heaven (or: in [your] atmosphere). Also, as many things [as] you would loose or untie upon the earth will continue being things having already been loosed and untied within heaven (or: in [your] atmosphere).

Do you see the big difference here?

From the original Aramaic and Greek, our duty here is to play catch-up with the spirit realm. We are given privilege to act out the heavenly script here on earth! We are not trying to get heaven to do anything but rather heaven has done and is waiting for you to make it legal here on earth! You come out of this knowing that it must be manifest here on earth because you aligned with what heaven had already done! This takes away the stress entirely!

You know that whatever you are forbidding here on earth has already been forbidden in the spirit realm (remember: "May your will be done on earth even as it is done in heaven"). God wants you to be an enabler of His will here on earth!

This is opposed to trying to convince heaven to do something! Heaven already did and sent you a message for you to pronounce what is done in heaven to be done on earth (or as is already done in heaven)! You are giving God legal right to have His will done here on earth the very way it is already done in heaven.

Isn't our Father too much?

That's why scripture says He calls things that be not as though they were. It's because though they are not in existence yet here on earth, they already exist in the spirit realm.

Your life will be transformed if you chose to study and let God help you see what he really said and understand what He really meant. This all adds credence to the truth that "Faith is an act". You are simply acting like what God says is true because in reality, it is true!

I almost forgot to add that what is bound or loosed in the heavenly realm is with ongoing effect. It means that it cannot reverse itself. Once bound or forbidden, its effect is forever. That makes me wanna shout for joy! It means that if it pretends that it has reverted back to status quo, I can laugh at it, not being alarmed or perturbed because I know the truth that it is just pretending.

You see why our Lord said "and ye shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free", also "my people perish/suffer for lack of knowledge". Once we know, we can't be moved. We won't go to bind or loose again having known that it is of ongoing effect!

See this for reference from the One New Man Bible. Matthew 18:18

*18. “Truly I say to you: whatever you would bind upon the Earth will already have been bound in heaven with ongoing effect, and whatever you would loose upon the Earth will already have been loosed in heaven with ongoing effect.

(v. 18 ) To loose is a Hebrew idiom meaning to permit. 10 (v. 18 ) The tenses here mean that the effect of the binding or loosing goes on forever.

What does forever mean? It means that it never ceases! How about that!

May God give you wisdom and open the eyes of your understanding in Jesus name.
Hallelujah!
