The power of a clear and transparent conscience work wonders. How wonderful it is to stand before God without any feeling of guilt or condemnation. A clear and transparent conscience enhances your boldness as you come before the Lord in the place of prayer. The Bible says for us to
“Come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need” (Hebrews 4:16).
This boldness is a transparent conscience; not like King Saul who stood before Samuel the Prophet of God, claiming he had obeyed fully the commandment of God; meanwhile the bleating of sheep and oxen were so loud in Samuel’s ears betraying Saul’s claim of full obedience.
A transparent conscience means there is nothing you know of between you and your heavenly Father. It also means you have nothing of the enemy with you, for which you stand to be accused by the devil. Jesus was very bold in His declaration; when He said in John 14:30 –
“The prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me”.
If your conscience is soiled with anything of the devil with you, it will weaken your stand before him and you will walk funny before the adversary. Your commendation towards God and towards men weighs so much on the balance of a transparent conscience. Men may give you a pass mark; but the guilt of a wounded conscience will cart away the harmony of a clear conscience, which you need for exploits in life.
Every wounded conscience needs to be addressed by a true application of one’s self to the truth. Don’t beat around it, don’t seek to suppress it; arise and address it and ensure you have a clearance from within. There is a clearance from within that sees to the clearing of the works of the enemy from your path. If this clearance from within is not in place, your right to have the enemy cleared off your path will be impaired. Make right your wrongs, address those areas in your life that needs to be addressed, in the light of the Word of God; and you will be clothed with glory from on high that cannot be molested.
