WHY NOT DO THAT NOW?

Hello Brothers and Sisters in Christ!

I am not quoting any scriptures here but be rest assured that everything I write is directly from scripture. If at the end, you want the scriptures, feel free to ask me and I will joyfully provide them.

You might not know it, but everyone of us has this urge to make things right pending checking out.

That is ok, but God also wants us to have a taste of Him here on earth. As you might have found out, we cannot make ourselves good enough for God as after our best efforts, we still have this knowing inside that we cannot face Him if we were to meet Him now.

The beauty of it is that God knows this and has always known it. We don't have the ability to become right before Him. That is why He is God! Your best deeds are not good enough before Him! Not to worry though, He took care of all this long ago. He is not interested in your trying to be good (shocking isn't it?).

Like I said, our best effort to be good is described as a "used menstrual pad" before Him. Don't even try (if you can imagine how gory and grotesque that is). He doesn't want you to polish yourself before you come to Him (remember, you can't polish yourself enough for Him).

The good news is that He already has a means for you to make it. This way would take care of the habit (want to nature) of doing wrong in His sight. Since I followed this way, I don't try to do good, but by my nature now, I find myself doing good without effort. Something has changed in me from right within me. I don't even try! It is now my nature.

What is this way? You most likely have guessed by now. It is very simple yet very profound! He sent Jesus to come here and die for you!

This is substitution at work. He viewed Jesus as sin and poured out his whole wrath and judgement of every human being that ever lived or will live that sinned or will sin on Jesus.There is no more wrath available for sin! God expended it on Jesus! The only other judgement for men is what you do with this truth/gift.

What is your part to play here you may ask?

Very simple; if I give you a gift, you simply accept it and take it if you value me. The flip side is if you despise this gift, you face a new wrath on judgement day. To prosper by avoiding this, you simply accept what Jesus has done. You confess that you cannot help yourself and you accept the help that Jesus offered you by dying for you. You do this believing it in your inward parts.

He promised that once you do this, He accepts you and effects a transformation in you. You might not feel it, but He assures us that that is reality. It's the same thing that I did that keeps me in the state I am in now.

Do I miss it from time to time? Sure I do, but I immediately apologise to Him and ask for His forgiveness and He gives it unreservedly.

Why not do that now?

I assure you that as soon as you do, the "want to" (that nature that drives you to be offensive to God) will leave and being pleasing to God will be your nature.

It is very easy and ensures peace profound.
