HAPPY SUNDAY || A Happy Family Thrives On Forgiveness

Often times we hear people say: “there is no perfect family”. But aside from family there are a lot of things that are not perfect too.

For example, the things which make up the family…like the children, parents, or even partners are not perfect. We ourselves are not perfect. We are constantly making mistakes and having people disappoint us as well.

THE PLACE OF FORGIVENESS

Forgiveness is extremely IMPORTANT to our emotional health and spiritual survival. It purifies the spirit, liberates the heart, gives the soul inner peace and helps us commune with God properly.

On the other hand, unforgiveness is self-destructive. It poisons, intoxicates and kills eventually.

A family without forgiveness will definitely become an arena of conflict and a fortress of evil. No good thing can thrive in such a place.

Always remember that a family should be a place of life, healing, joy and love.

So in order to have a perfect or healthy family, everyone in the family will have to learn to always forgive each other no matter the number of times they have been wronged.

Then Peter came to Him and said, “Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Up to seven times?”
Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven. Matthew 18:21-22

When it comes to family, there's always enough room for everyone if only we can forgive as God has commanded us to.
