THE INTEGRITY OF A WOMAN

avatar

God honors the integrity of a person because the upright values good customs and derives from his soul as an intrinsic value and of great sincerity

Integrity is the behavior of an individual who has complete physical, mental and spiritual integrity when what he thinks, what he says and what he does have the same meaning and are consistent with each other.
A person is integral when he is honest with himself and with others and when he acts firmly and correctly

The Bible is a manual of values to practice them and make them a lifestyle in our walk because it reminds us of every virtue or value that we must practice as an honor to our God and one of the values to put them into practice is integrity which today I want to reflect through a woman named Ruth

Ruth 1: 1522
15 And Naomi said, Behold, your sister-in-law has turned to her people and their gods; turn after her.
16 Ruth answered: Do not beg me to leave you, and to separate myself from you; because wherever you go, I will go, and wherever you live, I will live. Your people will be my people, and your God my God.
17 Where you die, I will die, and there I will be buried; Thus Jehovah does to me, and even adds to me, that only death will separate us.
18 And when Naomi saw that she was so determined to go with her, she said no more.
19 So the two of them walked until they reached Bethlehem; And it came to pass that, having entered Bethlehem, the whole city was moved because of them, and they said, Is this not Naomi?
20 And she answered them: Do not call me Naomi, [a] but call me Mara; [b] because the Almighty has put me in great bitterness.
21 I went away full, but Jehovah has returned empty-handed. Why will you call me Naomi, since Jehovah has testified against me, and the Almighty has afflicted me?
22 So Naomi returned, and Ruth the Moabitess her daughter-in-law with her; He returned from the fields of Moab, and they reached Bethlehem at the beginning of the barley harvest.
(King James Version 1960)

Ruth was an integral woman determined firm in her actions and faithful to God and her mother-in-law, Nohemí. For this reason, she assumes a submissive attitude before Nohemí's repeated demands, because she insisted that no matter how much she insisted that he leave her and go to another land she would never leave her because she said: your people will be my people and your God will be my God

These words of submission from Ruth were not an emotional reaction but were projected beyond friendship as an act of faith because this reaction is simply integrity.

Ruth understood very well the nature of Jehovah because she invokes his name in an oath to give more firmness to her decision where her commitment is based on an approach to the living God whom she has met through Nohemí and whom she deeply thanks for making such a decision inside she knew that Nohemí served the great almighty God.

Actually, this story of Ruth and Nohemí is full of principles related to justice and piety in human relations, because in this sense Ruth offers us a supreme example of someone who prioritizes personal relationships, exemplifying loyalty, obedience, diligence and moral rectitude over base of love and hope

Ruth was firmly determined to go with Nohemi wherever she went because there was conviction, faith and integrity in her life, she was a great woman
When Nohemí arrives in Bethlehem, the way they received her denotes that she belonged to a family of the local aristocracy, since verse 19 tells us that when they two entered Bethlehem, the entire city was moved. However, Nohemí was frustrated and suggests that they do not call her Nohemí but rather Mara because she believed that God was going through all the bitterness that she felt at those moments when she recognized that she had left Bethlehem prosperous but God had made her return with the empty hands

Normally people when they go through these adversities always blame God for their failures because the conduct of Nohemí is characteristic of people who do not belong to the people of God

God honors integrity and he is God for purposes because he will never forget the firm fidelity and integrity of a woman and in this case God would never forget the intrinsic values of Ruth which took her to the mountains of Bethlehem to truly bless her divine providence favors Ruth what seemed like a coincidence was the blessing of God honoring Ruth was the blessing that God reserved for his life and obviously the instrument was Nohemí.
