Welcome to My Blog!
It is rather sad that today, many Christians and believers have left following after the model of Jesus Christ. Many churches and Christians today are now copying the pattern and style of the world because they feel it is trending and latest.
We need to come to the point of understanding that the only way to get results in our Christian journey is by following after Jesus, doing the things HE did, saying the things HE said and acting the way HE did. Need I remind us that, the meaning of Christian is Christ-like?
We can't claim to be following Jesus but do not following after HIS model and pattern. The world and the church can never be same; there are two different entities. Instead of copying after the world, we should live in such a way the world copies us.
Now what is a fad?
A fad is defined as an intense and widely shared enthusiasm for something, especially one that is short-lived; a craze.
Here is what we should not about fads; they are generated when the number of people adopting it begins to increase to the point of others taking note of it. When this happens, it creates a lot of activities and makes it look really exciting to some people. No matter the level of fads adoption, it can never cause or create a tangible or sustainable impact on people and in the world at large.
Implying that there will be no tangible result or growth in the church as long as we keep copying after the world. Yes! The pattern and style of the world looks glittering and pleasurable but remember that; "there is a way that seems right unto a man but the end thereof leads to death."
It is only the model of Jesus that can create a lasting and positive impact in the life of a person. And that Jesus' model is disciple-making, sharing love and care, spreading the gospel, leading men to fulfilling their purpose and many others.
It is very necessary that as Christians and church leaders, we begin to follow after the pattern of Jesus because by doing so, we will get good results and outcomes in our lives.
God bless you.
There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. (Proverbs 14:12)
