Act 2 :41-47
KJV:Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.

KJV:And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.

KJV:And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles.

KJV:And all that believed were together, and had all things common;

KJV:And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need.

KJV:And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,

KJV:Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved
An intimate relationship with God would help you fashion your life very closely after the likeness of Lord Jesus in all things.
Knowing God goes beyond going to church or even being called a born again. God is love and his and so if we love him, it ought to show in our daily dealings with others.
1st John 2:6 shows that JESUS himself enjoins us to make him our example in all things.. The knowledge of God must bring us to the point of wisdom and enlightenment far beyond the ordinary. A true understanding of who God leads to an overflowing Joy and peace. An intimate relationship with Jesus will definitely lead to humility, selflessness, and total submission to the will of God.
When our lives is geared in line with God's standard, he will be pleased with all that we do and offer.
Proverbs 15:8
KJV:The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the Lord: but the prayer of the upright is his delight.
It is clear to is that an offering or sacrifice from a polluted, unrepentant and a sinful Heart Will be despised..
I pray that God will grant us the grace to persevere and grow more spiritually intimate with him. Amen.
