Refractography

(Edited)

On this first shot I didn't use a lens. I put a glass ball with air bubbles in front of the camera and positioned my mobile in front of the glass ball emitting short bursts of colored dots. I moved the phone slightly during the exposure and it took 3.1 seconds.

On this one I used the same ball but with a 35mm lens with a wide aperture. I had preset the gelled lights before the exposure and there was no action on my part during the exposure so it's a bit of a stretch to call it light painting too but I thought I'd share anyway so you can see the difference between lens vs without lens.
