Blast from the past - 500bhp on Ice, Snow and Tarmac - The 1986 Monte Carlo Rally

Hi, friends!

They say that Group B era in rallying was the famous one from the starts of the sport. But I can't agree with that because the motorsport is very dangerous and I know that because I still compete.

I know how it looks like when you are sitting upside-down and the gasoline is leaking into the cockpit. I can tell you that it's bad.

And when one of the famous rally drivers of Group B Henri Toivonen (with his co-driver) burnt alive in the accident in Corsica in 1986, that was it. Group B was banned.

Today's cars are much faster then Group B cars because of today's technology and they are around 420bhp. Group B cars had up to 600bhp but without electronic diffs and modern suspension, electronics etc.

Next week Monte Carlo Rallye starts and it is an ideal time to watch how it used to be 35 years ago.

Enjoy...
