Blast from the past - Toyota Cellica Group A rally car

Hi, friends!

I was a big fan of Toyota Cellica group A rally car maybe it wasn't a car that you could see every day on the street back then in '90's. Lancia Delta HF Integrale was much nicer car to me but Toyota Cellica was just something exotic.

Power of that cars was limited to 300bhp but their real car was around 400bhp because FIA could only limit restrictor on turbo, nothing else.

They won many rallies and championships all around the world but I would say that they were more impressive on the world scene then in national championships.

In national championships Lancia always ruled except in Great Britain where Subaru won some championships with McRae brothers and Richard Burns behind a wheel of their Legacy RS or Impreza.

Enjoy this video...

Now, that's a really long video! I forgot that there's a whole bloodline of Celicas before it became this front-wheel drive 'meh' sports car that is easily forgettable for most people. It's an interesting way to put it, but I guess Japanese rally cars then were indeed sort of exotic in a way. These old Celicas are really boss...
