Mikkelsen tested with Škoda ahead of WRC Arctic Rally Finland 2021

Until today I never saw that rally drivers start the special stage on snow surface from the 2nd gear.

Well it is logical because in the 1st gear there is a lot of empty spinning on the higher revs. But I never thought about that. Cool new knowledge for me.

It is very interesting to watch any of the rally vlogs from Andreas Mikkelsen and I must admit that this guy puts lots of effort in his YouTube series called My Life, which is probably something he works on as something which will come after his driving career will be at the end. So he tries to prepare that field on time.

In the first part of the vlog he goes to the workshop where they painted his new Bell helmet which I also like very much. And I would like to buy myself one too.

On the 2nd part of the video he travels to Finland where he had testing with Škoda on snow and the test lasted for two days. Man, my tests, when I rented the rally car, last for 30km and that was it. That's how works teams do their job even the Škoda satellite team Tok SPort runs the program.

Rally starts next week and it will be interesting to see who is the fastest guy on snow in WRC2 category.
