Neuville and Solberg jr tested new hybrid 2022 Rally1 WRC car

Hi, friends!

It is maybe four months before start of new season of the World Rally Championship season 2022 at Monte Carlo so teams now have to put into the 6th gear with their testings to prepare as best as possible for the new generation of hybrid Rally1 WRC cars.

To be honest I still don't know what name they will have - Rally1 or WRC, or both names together. I mean, Rally1 is the class where the new WRC cars will compete but it's still uncertain what will be the right name for 2022.

The only thing we know that Rally2 cars won't be hybrid at least for the next three years. I know a guy from Hyundai Motorsport and we talked during the last rally we were competing and he told me then that there won't be hybrid units in the Rally2 category but I don't believe too much until I hear publicly about something.

There is another thing that it's pretty much sure - young Oliver Solberg will drive Rally1 WRC car next sure but we still don't know on how many rallies. Maybe he will have a full season or maybe he will share a seat with another driver. I think that teams from the WRC are more and more into the young drivers.

In the past there was something called experience but today youngsters practice on the Play Station or some other consoles so that way they are already in training when they come on some rally. I also practice but on PC before each rally and that helps me a lot. It gives you better feeling on the steering wheel and if you brake with left foot.

It seems that Hyundai Motorsport concentrated on the tarmac testings last week because there are some fascinating shots from the test. The new car looks better and better from test to test. I don't know how much and long they can use hybrid power which gives them more then 500bhp but this could be very exciting.

It is still unknown how much time the new generation of the cars will need to match the speed of the current ones because old generation of cars has much better aero.

Testing video looks amazing as well as driving of the two Hyundai guys, Watch and enjoy...
