No spectators allowed at Ypres Rally next month

Hi, friends!

Situation with coronavirus pandemic in Belgium is really hard but their Government decided to allow rally to be run and that is a good thing for the sport.

Belgium rally fans are not happy with that decision but they are happy with the fact that they will have the World Rally Championship event in their country for the first time in their motorsport history.

I am pretty sure that there will be lots of private Belgium entrants and one of them is Pieter Tsjoen with Hyundai i20 WRC from the Italian rally team called 2C Competition.

One of the drivers that expects much is Irishman Craig Breen who won there last season with the R5 machinery.

Ypres Rally is not an easy rally for the drivers. If in wet conditions, it could be very tricky and slippy and long straights must be 100% reckoned with braking points, otherwise you are out.

I saw so much rally crashes from the Ypres Rally and every of them was nasty. There is no out of the big ditch once you are in. And one more thing: modern WRC cars are very fragile so if you finish in the ditch, you will hardly drive to the service park on the wheels.

To conclude: it's good for the sport that we have another WRC event in front of us in this tough times for any of us.
