Onboard rally video of the day - Colin McRae with Škoda Fabia WRC at Wales Rally GB 2005

It was amazing to watch that someone finally can find some speed of that 'trash' rally car called Škoda Fabia WRC.

Colin McRae had two World Rally Championship outings with that car - Wales and Australia and one small event at Monza, which was also round of WRC in 2020.

McRae finished WRC Wales Rally in 6th position overall but this result was also of misfortune of some other crews. But he showed that car can have better performance then before.

I think that problem with Škoda was down to the budget. Those WRC teams at that time was loaded with money and Škoda was there to try something on economic budget ant that can't survive long.

I saw so many teams trying on this economic style but they didn't survive on the longer term - Škoda, Seat, Suzuki, Hyundai (from the days when MSD ran their program)...

I must say one more thing - I was so happy in that times that Colin was in the WRC car again, even if we were talking about Škoda. He was really amazing driver who can find more speed in any rally car.
