Onboard rally video of the day - Mikkelsen with Škoda Fabia Rally2 at ERC Azores Rallye 2021

I reckon that Norwegian Andreas Mikkelsen will be in some of the WRC teams and it will probably be M-Sport Ford because he had some test with JanPro Racing, team which runs private Ford Fiesta WRC, and all the talk was that it was a Pirelli rubber testing.
Guys like Mikkelsen or Dani Sordo are just too good for the European Rally Championship. Even double ERC champion Alexey Lukyanuk is too good for ERC but he crashes a lot and team bosses don't like shunts too much.
It is also interesting to hear the English pace notes because he now has a new co-driver in Eliott Edmundson who delivers notes in English. And when you hear the speed of talking, it's quite amazing that Mikkelsen can visualize all those notes in his head.
But that's his work and he is good with this. I also reckon that Škoda Motorsport still didn't resolve some differential problems because he still uses handbrake to turn into some corners quicker. I remember the video from the start of the year when he talked about that with Škoda engineers. It seems that Volkswagen Polo R5 is much more agile at this.
It's so amazing to watch how different drivers find the very top of every rally car and listening their explanations are just great. You can learn from everything they say.
Mikkelsen is super quick driver but I guess that Dani Sordo would win if he had more new tires. Those MRF Tyres from India are just not good enough for this kind of high competition. Yeah, they progressed but still not good enough. They are something like DMACK Tyres was few years ago before they went into the administration.
Anyway, this onboard video clearly shows that Mikkelsen still has the speed and that he probably deserves one of the seats in the works WRC teams.
