Onboard rally video of the day - Ogier with VW Polo WRC at legendary Panzerplatte stage of WRC Rally Germany

There is no more WRC Rally Germany, at least at this moment and the reason is the coronavirus pandemic.

I guess they will be back because German car market is so big so it could be bad for the manufacturers not to have a WRC rally there.

But maybe I am wrong because we example of United States where rallying is not that popular and that is probably the biggest car market on the North of the globe.

Watching this onboard video something crossed my mind and that is if the new R5 or now called Rally2 cars are faster at the moment then the old WRC cars.

Well, suspension and differentials plus other technologies are developing all the time but engine is not that strong as in the WRC car.

When you watch how this beast accelerate at the straights, it is so strong. No Rally2 car has that strong engine at the moment.

Panzerplatte special stage is legendary military ground for tanks where soldiers are having their trainings with tanks.

When you go off on that special stage, that means your car is ex because of the big stones beside the road which are deep in the ground to stop the tanks.
