Tanak tested with Hyundai ahead of WRC Rally Finland 2021

World Rally Champion from season 2019, Estonian Ott Tanak is the victim of this very bad season for Hyundai after they suffered numerous mechanical problems through out the season.

He was leading rallies numerous times but his Hyundai broke down almost every time. I could see a frustration on his face because I know the feeling of disappointment after mechanical errors on the rally car.

The good thing is that he has a valid contract with the team for next season and that means being relaxed for the remaining rallies.

Next station of the World Rally Championship is super fast gravel rally of Finland and good preparation is everything there.

That's why teams test ahead of every rally and the first Hyundai driver to test in Finland was Ott Tanak who likes the nature of Finnish roads.

When watching this testing video, you can see how committed is Tanak even while testing because he wants to stay sharp while driving.

When you watch on the Finnish roads, you can see that the high speeds are the characteristic of them and precision is very needed when you drive 180km/h on the gravel.

Tanak will be one of the fastest drivers in Finland but Toyota youngster Kalle Rovanpera is a favorite for this rally because he is on the push after great recent results.
