(DE/EN) Season 97 review - Back in Champions League
Intro
Seit Saison 92 habe ich keinen Statusbericht zu meinem Rabonateam mehr verfasst.
Seit dem hat sich einiges getan, was ich gern zusammenfassen möchte.

Intro
I haven't written a status report on my Rabona team since season 92.
Since then, a lot has happened, which I would like to summarize.
Have fun reading.
Sportliche Leistungen
Während ich in Season 92 noch unerwartet um den Titel in der Champions League mitspielen konnte ging es in Saison 93 ohne große Veränderungen im Team bereits Berg ab und in Saison 94 erfolgte der Abstieg in die erste Liga.
Dort konnte ich mich in Saison 95 stabilisieren und bereits in Saison 96 verpasste ich den Aufstieg nur knapp und musste mich am Ende den Hell Hornets geschlagen geben. Bereits hier war der Blockchain FC ein weiterer starker Aufstiegskandidat.
Saison 97 brachte tatsächlich das erwartete Kopf an Kopf rennen zwischen dem Blockchain FC und dem FC Riedstadt um den Aufstieg in die Champions League.
Die Führung wechselte öfters während der Saison. Zwischenzeitlich lag Riedstadt mit 5 Punkten vorn, wurde dann aber wegen einer Unaufmerksamkeit des Trainers Kheldar1982 zum einen und dem RNG Gott zum anderen wieder ausgebremst.
Die Entscheidung viel wie erwartet im vorletzten Spiel, als beide Teams zum zweiten Mal aufeinandertrafen.
Der Blockchain FC lag in der Tabelle mit einem Punkt vorn und hatte das deutlich bessere Torverhältnis. Coach Kheldar hatte einen großen Teil der Saison 4-2-3-1 gegen die vielen 4-3-3 Gegner spielen lassen.
Kheldar1982 spekulierte darauf, dass sein Gegner wie im Hinspiel 4-4-2 spielen würde und entschloss sich die Taktik auf 4-5-1 zu ändern. Genau der richtige Spielzug. Riedstadt gewann das Heimspiel deutlich mit 5:1 und sicherte sich den ersten Tabellenplatz.
Dieser wurde am letzten Spieltag auch nicht mehr verschenkt, sondern konsequent verteidigt.
Nach Saison 91 zieht der FC Riedstadt nun zum zweiten Mal in die Champions League ein.
Sporting achievements
While I was able to unexpectedly compete for the Champions League title in Season 92, things went downhill in Season 93 without any major changes in the team, and in Season 94 I was relegated to the first division.
There I was able to stabilize in season 95 and already in season 96 I just missed the promotion and had to admit defeat to the Hell Hornets in the end. Already here Blockchain FC was another strong candidate for promotion.
Season 97 actually brought the expected neck-and-neck race between Blockchain FC and FC Riedstadt for promotion to the Champions League.
The lead changed several times during the season. In the meantime, Riedstadt was 5 points ahead, but was then thwarted again due to an inattention of the coach Kheldar1982 on the one hand and the RNG God on the other.
As expected, the decision came in the penultimate game, when both teams met for the second time.
Blockchain FC was ahead in the standings by one point and had the much better goal differential. Coach Kheldar had been playing 4-2-3-1 for much of the season against the many 4-3-3 opponents.
Kheldar1982 speculated that his opponent would play 4-4-2 like in the first leg and decided to change tactics to 4-5-1. Exactly the right move. Riedstadt won the home match clearly with 5:1 and secured the first place in the table.
This was not given away on the last matchday, but defended consistently.
After season 91, FC Riedstadt now enters the Champions League for the second time.
Teamentwicklung
Das Team hat sich seit Saison 92 deutlich weiterentwickelt.
Der Kader umfasst bis auf wenige Ergänzungsspieler, die eher am Ende ihrer Karriere beim FC sind, keine Spieler unter OS 80 mehr.
Die Stärke des Teams liegt ganz klar in der Defensive. Angeführt von Torhüter Michael Alvares ist die Abwehr um Innenverteidiger Uziel Ponce, ein Garant für eine erfolgreiche Saison.
Auch der Sturm wurde mit erfahrenen Spielern besetzt. Böse Zungen behaupten, es sei eine Altherrenmanschaft. Meist bis die Jungs das gegnerische Tor mit Bällen füllen.
Weiterhin eine Baustelle ist das Mittelfeld. Hier muss Coach Kheldar1982 in den kommenden Saisons einiges an Geld in die Hand nehmen, um junge und starke Talente in Team zu holen. Sonst wird das nichts mit einem Sieg in der Champions League und es droht eventuell sogar der Wiederabstieg.
Team development
The team has developed significantly since Season 92.
The squad no longer includes any players below OS 80, with the exception of a few supplementary players who are more likely to be at the end of their FC careers.
The team's strength clearly lies in its defense. Led by goalkeeper Michael Alvares, the defense around center back Uziel Ponce, is a guarantee for a successful season.
The forward line has also been filled with experienced players. Malicious tongues claim that it is an old-men's team. Mostly until the boys fill the opponent's goal with balls.
The midfield continues to be a construction site. Coach Kheldar1982 will have to spend a lot of money in the coming seasons to bring young and strong talents into the team. Otherwise, there will be no chance of winning the Champions League and the team may even be relegated.
Entwicklung des Stadions
Das Stadion des FC hat sich zu einer echten Pracht entwickelt.
Inzwischen fasst es 50.000 Zuschauer. Der Ausbau auf 70.000 läuft bereits.
Auch die zugehörige Infrastruktur in Form von Parkplätzen und Hotels sowie Catering sind im Ausbau.
Die inzwischen auf über 40 Millionen Fans angewachsenen Fangemeinde findet genügend Auswahl in einem nun deutlich vergrößerten Fanshop (Level 12).
Aber auch in die Jugendausbildung, das Training sowie ordentliche Bürogebäude für den Stab wird investiert.
In wenigen Saisons wird die Arena in Riedstadt vergleichbar sein mit einer Allianzarena oder der Enfield Road.
Vielen Dank an der Stelle an @oliverschmid, dessen außerordentlich großzügigen RBN Spende ich es zu verdanken habe, dass ich das Stadion so ausbauen konnte, ohne die spielerische Weiterentwicklung zu vernachlässigen, oder Hive zu reinvestieren.
Development of the stadium
The FC stadium has developed into a real splendor.
It now holds 50,000 spectators. Expansion to 70,000 is already underway.
The associated infrastructure in the form of parking spaces, hotels and catering is also being expanded.
The fan community, which has now grown to more than 40 million fans, will find plenty to choose from in a now significantly enlarged fan store (level 12).
But investments are also being made in youth education, training and proper office buildings for the staff.
In a few seasons, the arena in Riedstadt will be comparable to an Allianz Arena or Enfield Road.

Die nunmehr 42 Millionen Fans sind die Grundlage für die Finanzierbarkeit des sportlichen Erfolgs der Riedstädter.

Since the 91st season, the number of fans has more than quadrupled.
The now 42 million fans are the basis for the financial viability of the Riedstadt team's sporting success.
Finanzielles & Hive Reward
Der Etat des FC Riedstadt hat sich seit Saison 92 mehr als verdoppelt - Von 27 MRBN Ausgaben auf knapp 69 MRBN.
die Einnahmen konnten in Saison 97 auf 71,5 MRBN gesteigert werden. Davon kommen über 42 MRBN aus dem Merchandise Shop. Die Eintrittskarten tragen gerade einmal 25 MRBN bei.
In Saison 97 dürfte sich diese Zahl nochmals deutlich erhöhen, durch die höheren Ticketpreise in der Champions League und der erneut stark gestiegenen Anzahl Fans.
Das Salär des Coaches von 0,781 Hive nahm Coach Kheldar dankend entgegen und freut sich bereits auf das deutlich höhere Gehalt in der CL.
Financial & Hive Reward
The budget of FC Riedstadt has more than doubled since season 92 - From 27 MRBN expenses to almost 69 MRBN.
The income could be increased in season 97 to 71,5 MRBN. Of this, over 42 MRBN came from the merchandise store. Tickets contribute just 25 MRBN.
In season 97, this figure is expected to increase significantly again, due to higher ticket prices in the Champions League and another sharp increase in the number of fans.
Coach Kheldar gratefully accepted the coach's salary of 0.781 hive and is already looking forward to the significantly higher salary in the CL.
Pläne für Saison 98
Ich war bereits einmal in der CL und habe gemerkt wie eng es zwischen Titelaspirant und Abstiegskandidat sein kann.
Mein Ziel ist es über kurz oder lang einen Titel in der CL zu holen. Der Kader ist dieses Saison definitiv noch nicht stark genug. Ich habe aber inzwischen die finanziellen Grundlagen, um auch am Anfang der Saison Spieler zu verpflichten, und kann so vielleicht auch das ein oder andere Talent ins Team holen, welches mir vorher durch die Lappen ging.
Auf jeden Fall wird es erneut eine spannende Zeit und große Herausforderung.
Plans for season 98
I have already been in the CL once and have noticed how close it can be between title aspirants and relegation candidates.
My goal is to win a CL title sooner or later. The squad is definitely not strong enough this season. However, I now have the financial resources to sign players at the beginning of the season, so I might be able to bring in a talent or two that had previously slipped through my fingers.
In any case, it will be another exciting time and a great challenge.
