Market place with reptiles and frogs like that I have never witnessed, still prefer them free than locked up like that, interesting to see the variety you find in your location.

I imagine most of these are imported or bred locally. Korea has cold winters and the native speices are hiding right now.
Some of the turtles and frogs for sale were native species. You are right, I would just rather visit. I would even donate a reasonable amount of money to visit.

International trade of wildlife should be stopped, more emphasis placed on looking after what we have locally. Sadly you see the decline in animals with humans using more land.

Sweet post! That's one heck of a shop there! Impressive amount of reptiles in that store. Sounds like you were having a great time :-)

The owner of the company I work for has a Tegu here in his office. They are finishing up his new living quarters since it quickly out grew the last one. Now he has a lush environment with a waterfall even.

Tegus are neat. Keeping something like this at the office is a good idea. There is enough downtime to care for it and maybe even enough space.
I would like a waterfall in my habitat, lol.

What a cool store, do they have a website? Next time I'm in Korea, I'd like to stop by. It's basically a zoo. Good move on your wife making you promise not to buy a reptile. Some are cute but they usually eat live bugs or rodents.

Website is Korean only. Just click the boxes at the top. https://m.zools.co.kr/product/list.html?cate_no=46&page=1

Many of the frogs are sold out, but if you talk to the owners, maybe they can find those species.
There is another shop much closer to my house that most had geckos, but it was new. I'll try and visit later.
I dont mind feeding them worms or other things people fish with but I dont want to buy specialty bugs or frozen rats.

Yeah, I'd rather tour a reptile pet store than actually take care of one of these animals, lol. Especially the caiman! :-D

Right! Some are really bad pets. Most are boring pets. A painting is more exciting than a burrowing reptile.

Apologies for the super late reply!!! Internet time is not my own right now, but, I want you to know that I thoroughly enjoyed this post and I kept reading through, wondering what you would buy!

I was so pleased to see you in the challenge this past week! I haven't been to a reptile store in a long time. Thanks for the nightmares! LOL Kidding! Some of the snakes are downright creepy and slimy looking. But, it was truly a wonderfully written post and covered it so well, I will never wonder what is behind those doors! Ever!

If I had to pick any one of them, that rare turtle had a beautiful shell, but, it is a turtle.

Le sigh.

Maybe a Dalmatian puppy. What? Not a reptile? Boo!! I cannot thank you enough for such a wonderfully written post with pictures to go with it!

#MarketFriday loves you!

I understand most people don't want reptiles. I would like a nice terrarium with some kind of colourful little frogs, but I can't find those here at the moment. The tree frogs are a little too noisy and the others just burrow. I like aquariums because nothing can escape and they look like moving pictures.

I'm more of a cat person than a dog person and I will probably get one eventually when I settle down a little more. I'm guessing I'm still a couple of years away from doing that.

:) I have a cat too. She is a cute little girl and she loves to love on us. The dog I got for the kids and she is good with them, and my brother had a terrarium, so I do get the attraction, but, I don't want to have to handle them. Unless they are frogs. :) or turtles.

Settling down is a funny thing... one day, you wake up and find you are as settled as you can be. ;)

This is an awesome reptile shop. I thought it was some sort of reptile zoo. I enjoyed your post and felt I was there and everything looks so clean and well kept. I could handle snakes but no frogs for me.

I also thought the shop was quite well done amd they look like they are improving.
Im the opposite. I prefer frogs, but I suppose this is obvious given our profiles.
