Personal blog: What to write about in Hive

One of my conflicts when I started in Hive was about what to publish, since the content that the platform has is different, at least in percentages, from what one usually sees on other blog platforms.

Apart from this, the various groups of curators that are in it tend to have a strong preference for original content, that is, for material created from scratch by the authors, which does not seem bad, in fact I think that in general terms it is something very positive.

However, for me this did represent, and continues to represent a problem, fortunately less and less, because since I started as a blogger more than 10 years ago, I have been and continue to be a content curator. So part of my posts are reviews of the work of others, something that is not so common on this platform.

Although this generated some conflict at the beginning, little by little it became obvious to me that if I wanted to enjoy my stay on this platform, it was not an option to start writing about topics that do not interest me just because they are the ones that have the best acceptance, I had to write about what I know, about what I want, about what I think and about what I like. And while this might make it a bit difficult for me to get started in Hive, it was the way to go.

Being honest and authentic is essential on this platform, and if your content is not the most common as in my case ... well, you will have to be the first, which has its good side too.

  • So write what you think, surely there will be someone who thinks the same, or someone who thinks differently will give you a good comment that makes you reflect.

  • Write about what you believe, I can assure you that there will be other users with the same beliefs or similar beliefs.

  • Write about what you know, and share it, you will see that more than one will thank you.

  • Write about what you want, about your passions, however rare they may be, among the little more than a million users of the platform, surely you are not the only one.

  • Write about your tastes, whatever it is: music, cinema, sports, books ... you'll see that there are other users with similar tastes.

In short, write from your individuality, your essence, your identity. Write from who you are, and avoid writing only about what you think will have the greatest impact at all costs. Be honest, and sooner or later you will see the results, and in the process you will make sincere friendships from common points and you will grow as a user and as a person from the contributions of others.

Be yourself, that easy, and that difficult.

2 years ago, my firsts post in the other blockchain platform was exactly that, things did not interested me but that I felt it would have a great acceptance, the result? Nobody likes it, so I left the platform. Now with with hive I wanted to have a new beginning, writing the thing that I like, that thing is my career and animals, I really like a lot writing about my experiences while I'm studying veterinary medicine, writing histories about dogs and cats. Since I did that, it went me very well here.

Sorry for the english, is not my native language.
