Definitely for me every week is a pleasure to participate in the contests organized by our friend @Zord189 and the community @Powerhousecreatives, because they make us think about many things we have lived and that wraps me in a deep thought, a beautiful feeling, this week talks about one of those moments in our childhood when every year we made our letter to ask for our gifts [Hive Creative Contest | Letter To Santa (Contest Details)](https://hive. blog/hive-114105/@zord189/hive-creative-contest-or-letter-to-santa-contest-details) and how not to be moved by such beautiful memories. if they were such beautiful times, full of an unparalleled innocence.

Venezuelan traditions

Before I show you my letter to Santa I want to tell you a little about Venezuelan traditions that are a little different from other countries. Here we grew up being Catholic, apostolic and Roman, our grandparents taught us to faithfully believe in God before all things and they had many traditions rooted in them. One of them was to make the manger at Christmas, the manger is to place in a special place in your home the images of the Baby Jesus, the Virgin Mary and St. Joseph. Along with that came a series of rites such as making the novena to the Child Jesus, singing Christmas carols, making the inns and many other things.

Many of these traditions are still preserved and in my Andean land much more, there is super beloved the Child God and there is no house that remains without its manger and the Christmas tree. It is to him that our letters as children are addressed and we ask for our wishes and desires as adults. Children ask for their toys and we pray for peace and love in the world and in each of our homes. We ask for health, happiness and many other things.

Anecdote

I remember that when I was a little girl my mother used to ask us to write the letter to the Child Jesus, as I have told you on other occasions in my home we were many and we were from a very humble home, apart from that we were from the country and we did not know much about the world, we hardly knew what we saw in books and on television. One Christmas the famous layman was in fashion, they were small pieces with which they put together very nice things by joining them together and combining colors. I thought that was very funny and I had it in my hands because when my mother visited a mother's house I played with her granddaughter.

So that Christmas I asked the boy for the most beautiful toy I had ever seen in my life. I knew that with it I could invent many things and I could also share it with my little brother. I remember that I made him a very beautiful Christmas flower and put it next to the baby Jesus in the manger. I have never been able to forget that Christmas, since my layman never arrived and even though I asked for it for about 3 years in a row, I could never have my layman. As a child, one forgets things until one day I realized that it would never come. Now I laugh, because I know that the baby Jesus were our parents and definitely mine were never going to be able to please me, but it doesn't matter, I am truly grateful to God because He gave me the most beautiful home in this world and I wouldn't change it for anything, He gave me a loving father and mother and some naughty brothers and sisters with whom I always get along very well. So, what better gift can I ask from life?

Today I want to write you this letter to tell you many things that have happened to me this year, especially good things have happened because in spite of the pandemic we have lived through we have been well and protected. I know that there is still a long way to go so here comes my first wish, please take care of us, not only me but also my family. I also want to tell you that this year I have behaved very well, I have tried to stay calm above all and I have proposed that in any situation LOVE prevails, so I ask you to multiply that gift more, and if you can add a little patience so that the things that happen to us are more bearable. Venezuela is always in my prayers and today cannot be an exception, so I ask you to help us move forward, that freedom for our country comes soon and we are freed from this plague of Chavism that is killing us every day. I know that I don't have to ask you for much but I can't let this opportunity pass to ask you for my mother and my friends who are sick Esteban and Andi, please help them to overcome their health difficulties and open the doors for them to get the medicines, the doctors and everything they need to get out of their health difficulties. Of course I can't stop asking you for something for me, I just ask that the cryptomonas in HIVE go up a lot, so that our efforts are rewarded and we are all very happy to publish and do what we like to do so much. Take good care of yourself St. Nicholas and send my regards to your beautiful wife and Rodolfo the reindeer. When you come I will leave you some nice cookies that I learned to make this year and that are very good, but don't eat them all, take some to Mrs. Claus.
