MY STEEM STORY - BY @DENISSEMATA

This initiative seems great to me. Thanks to @bluemoon for mentioning to participate. I think this helps us get to know each other a little more and see what we have in common in our stories.

I remember that I started on this platform at the end of September 2017. Thanks to a good friend who mentioned the name of this platform, but what really caught my attention was that I could earn some money. Until that moment I had no idea of cryptocurrencies to something about the blockchain.

My beginnings here I think they were a bit awkward, because my friend told me about the platform but he didn't give me many details, but I remember that when I started publishing I had the help of @bigpanda and I was guided a little what I should do. And well before all my doubts I tried to investigate on the internet to know what to do.

  • My first challenges.

It is difficult to reach a platform and not have the slightest idea of what to do. That was me, I got here and I didn't know where to start. At first I thought I was wasting my time ... and tell me when payments began I had no idea what to do and much less if I was going to be able to use what I earned here. Living in a country like Venezuela is difficult, and having some money helps a lot. But how do you do when you have the electronic money and do not know how to change it there began my madness hahaha. But then I learned a little more and I could change my steem to bolivares.

  • My knowledge.

Well I really don't know how to say much. Because I think I still have a lot to know. But about 2 years ago I went to a talk on the @rutablockchain and where we all clarified our doubts about steem a bit, but I think that as the platform has gone through so many changes we are always in constant learning. But I can tell you that here people see you as crazy, when you tell them that you can generate money online thanks to blockchain technology and blockchain.

  • My favourites

I remember that when I started there was a contest of photography of @cervantes and participated several times. But what helped me most were the @progressivechef and @cookwithus food contests. It is wonderful to find a group here that loves the same thing as you and here I found people who love food as much as I do. I think what I enjoy most are Fridays with @foodfightfriday and all the delicious food we share. I think that right now I am not as active as my beginnings here, but still I do not abandon this platform.

  • My golden nugget advice

I think my best advice is to comment, to familiarize yourself with the platform. If there is something you do not understand, seek help. We were all new at the beginning and we had no idea what to do. I have been here for almost 3 years and just a week ago I started a new page here and go, if it is difficult to be new here.

  • My Steem hood & its peeps

I think I follow totally wonderful people who have made my step here the best. I think my dear Melinda is tired of reading it. But she has been a great help to me here, always with advice or data to improve. You remember it
@melinda010100 when my English was so bad that I only commented on the same thing in your post. How things have changed. I think my English is a bit bad yet but I have improved. Good to write it because to speak it my brain is blank hahaha. Thank you my dear Melinda for everything.

My Mexican friend, half crazy as my mother says. @gladysstillwagon she is the best at giving advice on how to take pictures of the food, she has helped me and not only in my beginnings here. But in my life. With her we share the love for food and cakes. She appears and disappears without warning but is a wonderful friend.

Another wonderful friend is @jlufer, although he hasn't published anything on the platform for a long time. I loved reading his stories of mystery or his family.

The most wonderful thing about this platform is to meet people who love art such as @barbara-orenya and
@silviabeneforti or @reddust them if they are true artists and I admire them. Your job is the best.

I think that I will always be grateful to be part of this wonderful platform. I could make a dream a reality. Well, thanks to the money I generated here I was able to pay for my studies.

Ah, I think it could be a good opportunity for you to raise some money for a cooking class? It will not happen over night but will put you in touch with some generous people.

If that was thinking, it would be great. Thanks for thinking of me. It would be great to take some cooking classes

ecoinstant speaks Spanish and is a helpful guy. A good person for you to be friends with if you want to do a crowdfunding to raise money for a class.

I will speak with him to have more information, and to be able to do this! It would be wonderful to be able to pay for an Italian meringue class, which is what I work the most. And there is a girl in another state and her cakes are so beautiful

Yes, thank you to @bluemoon for bringing you on board! :)

I think this helps us get to know each other a little more and see what we have in common in our stories.

Thank you! and yes... I thought it would be a fantastic way for MANY people to connect.... who would not necessarily have done so otherwise! The curiosity of reading other peoples stories has acted as a bridge toward many new connections and friendships :)

I am also a total foodie and have to agree - @foodfightfriday is such a fun initiative! Lovely to "meet" you @denissemata and thank you for sharing your story!
