Flowers Whisper what Words Cannot
Not the admission but
The fascination I have with
You
Oh, say it isn't so
That feeling of wanting
Never letting go? I say
It must be that summer is in the air
Giving way to the distraction
Words leaving my lips
Unchecked
Hold close to your heart
Catch it when it blows
Memories from another time
Perhaps the yesterdays
Beauty whispers, in my world, even as it fades, withers and as a final point, fall back to the earth. Seems like we all have some budding skills and dying talents. — at the field of life and living.
Because I love you. Truly.
i cried the way women on tv do
folding at the middle
like a five pound note.
i called the boy who use to love me
tried to ‘okay’ my voice
i said hello
he said warsan, what’s wrong, what’s happened?
and these are what my prayers look like;
dear god
i come from two countries
one is thirsty
the other is on fire
both need water.
i held an atlas in my lap
ran my fingers across the whole world
and whispered,
"where does it hurt?"
it answered,
"everywhere"
"everywhere"

I don't know the names of every flower but these are beautiful.As Shakespear said, "A rose by any other name would smell as sweet"

Flowers and nature bring so much pleasure, yet people don't stop to appreciate them. Much in life they never stop off long enough to get to know the people behind the photo, sad but true.
I think it makes it obvious who is here for the money and who is here to foster relationships to build a better understanding between people of different cultures.
It has been an eye-opening experience to watch people scamming, then powering down.
Le sigh.
It takes the wind out of my sails to watch a place I had come to love being ruined by a few. Anyway, I just really wanted you to know that you are appreciated by many here on the platform.
