Hello 🐝lovely🐝bees🐝! It’s Friday 28th August 2020!! Happy #MarketFriday!

Yesterday, after serving breakfast, saying goodbye to the guests, we cleaned the rooms and then went up to the other house (it was about 4pm by the time we had finished everything here). We took up a load of paint we had had delivered. My wife put some of the paint on the walls in the kitchen to see how it looked and I pottered about in the garden. We then went for a lovely walk with the dogs.


After that we had a few drinks, lit the firepit and enjoyed the last nice evening for a week or so (the weather is set to get a bit cold, and wet, over the next week). I messed about with the guitar (at the moment I am practicing scales a lot).


We had no bookings for the B&B. When we got back to our house we took the dogs for another walk and then watched a bit of TV.

It is obligatory to wear masks during the market and everyone is doing so (the Gendarmes are walking through the town checking!). Most are wearing them properly, with only a few below-the-nosers.



Later we hope to get up to the other house and get on with painting the kitchen (depending on if we get any last minute bookings). There are no B&B bookings this weekend so if it stays like that we will go up tomorrow too. Or maybe we’ll stay the night, tonight… but as the weather isn’t great probably not! Sunday we are going to some friends for lunch. What are your plans for the weekend?

I hope you got to paint at the other house, especially as it is cooler! And tend the garden! At least you don't have to sweat as we have been! The weather has been really hot here, but, September is around the corner and we know what that means, right??? I am not looking forward to winter like I usually do, I feel like we didn't really have summer!

Your market is very quiet today, but, happy to see the masks. As long as they are going to make the rules, they might as well enforce them. I don't know what to say about the half-maskers. :)) Seems like the weather is keeping people at home too. Even though they have opened up some of the places, I am not traveling yet. It is just not comfortable with so many of the numbers going up in some places. I can wait a little bit longer.

Sounds like the other house is really moving along. Will it be finished before winter? Or is this your winter project? I always like a little inside project for the colder months. Thanks for dropping by! Yes, I did manage to do some painting. I did the beams, while my wife rollered the big long walls. We got quite a bit done in a few hours. It was pouring with rain, so no tending the garden! We are going back up today to do some more painting. We have had the house for some time and have gone through fits and starts with it. It needed a lot of work, but it is more enjoyable to spend time up there now it has some home comforts (like a kitchen sink and a bathroom!) so we are spending much more time up there!

I love Market Friday and I hope more people visit your blog and fall in love with it too!

I am so glad you are getting to enjoy the house!

Most do not tag the Market. I usually end up with about 40 Market Friday posts, but people post them anywhere from Thursday to Tuesday or Wednesday. :) So I spend all week searching them out to upvote and comment on them. I am not sure what to do to correct it. It really is pretty popular, but, ever since they used communities, changed to Hive and can post from Hive Blog (which, by the way, doesn't show up on Peakd) so sometimes I end up voting the same post twice. Then the ones who only tag half of it, my name or whatever... it makes it a challenge in itself to find them. Some don't understand, others don't read the post to see what they are supposed to do.

I know! What a whiner! LOL Thank you for taking the time to read, and to help out the newbies. I would have loved someone like you when I was starting off! :)) You are the best!
