Just Stay At Home // Nation's Mantra // My 1st post on Hive

We are on the 9th day of just #stayathome as the country is trying to 'break the chain' of Covid19's spreading. Many take heed and adhere to the command by government, becoming responsible citizens to just stay at home, a minority can be seen still loitering around, maybe trying to test their bodies' immune system. Only God knows what are they thinking by still gathering in groups, singing and laughing at the park. Some are telling me that they were bored to death at home, while I am chasing after time trying to finish all the tasks at home. With everyone home-bound, me as a housewife-cum-homemaker have alot to do, like never ending list of tasks. And the among all, the children are the happiest persons on earth.

Trying to keep them occupied

Everyday is a new day of fun and play for the boys and I am trying to juggle between homemaking and homeschooling, without losing it. There will be time spent together, as well personal time where everyone do their own thing, it can be just relaxing listening to songs, reading or playing games.

I also introduced to the boys an old game I played since Primary School, the Hopscotch! Glad they are absolutely loving it, and the best thing is we get to sweat too. Or else, all of us will put on weight after the 'lockdown'.

Yesterday, it had been announced that our Movement Control Order will be extended till April 14th and teachers started to be in contact with parents to send us files of pdf for the children to do some exercises at home. Many were sighing about it and feeling frustrated as it gave extra work for parents who needed to work from home, which is challenging given the not-so-conducive environment as the children will keep bugging for parents' attention. Everyone nees to step up in their game. Good thing, I have started homeschooling the younger one and the eldest now just join in our schedule, which is study time after breakfast.

I also bought one Tangram activity for the eldest one to boost up his brain. I thought it is easy but when I tried, it is not as easy as I think.

A huge thanks to Lego and board games which helps the boys to self-play for very long time while I quickly finish either my cooking or never-ending housechores. 😋

How is everyone doing?

There are so many happenings, in Steem then to Hive then this worldly pandemic. I hope everyone is well and everyday I pray that we will get through this crisis and emerge victoriously. While in the middle of the storm, please take care and soon we will be out of the storm.

Greetings from me and my family.
