My First Pasta Carbonara
Cyber Greetings to you all
Today I am very excited because I was able to prepare Pasta Carbonara on my own! Modesty aside, it was delicious! 😄
Here's how I made it
(For one person, multiple ingredients by number of diners). Since this was my first time, I did not want to prepare a whole lot and ruin ingredients or poison someone 🤣
Ingredients
- Half an onion (medium size).
- Half a cup of bacon or smoked ham (I mixed both)
- 1 garlic clove
- 200 grams of milk cream
- Olive oil
- 150 grams of pasta
- Salt
- Parmesan cheese
- Black pepper
Preparation of sauce
On a hot pan previously oiled with the olive oil add the onion (chopped), a pinch of salt, and the garlic (smashed). Stir-fry until it looks golden.
Add the bacon or ham.
In the mean time, have the water boiling so that as soon as the mix is ready, the past ill also be ready.
When the pasta is ready, rinse it and put it on top of what sauce/mix.
Add the milk cream, mix until you are satisfied with the texture. Add parmesan cheese and black pepper (if you like you pasta spicy).

Man that food looks delicious! Thanks for sharing. I love when I see people outside of the United States making food because they make it, in my opinion, the right way! One thing I learned in Italy that is very valuable to produce great food consistently is measuring in weight not volume. 200 grams of milk cream is MUCH more consistent to get good food rather than saying 1/2 cup of milk. Too much difference there!
Keep up the good work and the posting, I like it!
I understand you perfectly, each food/sweet I prepare, I like that the measurements are all in grams, it's much more accurate.
Thanks for stopping by my post! ❤️
