MY STEEM STORY

A Power House Creatives Initiative

Everyone has a story – and all our stories have something in common… we all started from nothing and knew nothing. People want to hear stories. They want to hear OUR stories — they want to know who we are, where we are from, what we are doing, who and what we love, what we have learnt and where we are going. People also want us to hear their story! Being a part of the Steem network is an individual journey for every single one of us and through this initiative we will share our stories not only with all who are already here – hopefully inspiring, guiding and informing them… but doing the same for everyone else in the world too. Through our stories we will prick the curiosity of those who have not yet arrived and illuminate and widen the already open doors to our one in a million blockchain.

We invite and encourage each and every one of you to participate and share your stories too! You can find the "how to" details at the end of this post.

MY STEEM STORY - BY @janaveda

• Where my Steem Journey began

My trip on Steem, started in August 2019. A few months before, I created a YouTube channel with the only purpose of sharing some videos for my family, who many have left my country because of the bad economic situation in search of better conditions. It was an experience I enjoyed learning, it was the first time I created content for the internet. At that time, I was browsing a lot on YouTube, so I found a channel of PonlePauseTv, who made a brief review about steemit and ready, I hurried to review it.

• My initial challenges & how I overcame them

Wow The first challenge was to try to understand how the platform works, coupled with what it was and is my first experience as a blogger, so I had to work hard to stop being unnoticed and thus be able to receive rewards. For example, tag management and resource management hit me hard the first two months. Fortunately, I attended an invitation from @steemterminal to participate in the October Redfish Rally. A phenomenal experience of learning and support that made me take off in the community. I can say that I graduated as steemians at the @steemterminal school, attending, at first, shyly to the challenges due to the lack of confidence in the management of the English language, I speak in Spanish, although I understand quite well in English.

At the same time, I found a feedback from the @travelfeed team about one of my travel post, they also invited me to know their project. Today, I am convinced that accepting the invitation was one of my best decisions within the Steem blockchain.

• My Steem blockchain knowledge

About the Blockchain technology, my knowledge was minimal and referential until I met Steem. I only knew of the Bitcoin, as an alternative payment method to the traditional one.

Now, I am surprised and amazed at the potential of this technology. I think we are embarking sailing the right seas. In addition, in the blockchain of steem, I have found a diversity of contents, not only of: technology, business and money, but that art in various manifestations has enriched my daily life. Even these days, we hear about alliances and fusion with other technologies that invite us to review what is coming up.

• My Steem favourites

I don't have favorites right now, but I often use: Travelfeed.io, Steempeak and Steemit. I think they are excellent and they are always innovating. However, I am not closed to others, I am always looking for other proposals, I try them from time to time.

• My Golden Nugget Advice

The best advice I can give you is simple, enjoy the experience, ask question, join the communities of your preferences and develop genuine relationships, do not be afraid to be wrong, yes, a lot of respect, tolerance and ethics in the content they share. Remember that these are global, multicultural communities. Endless opportunities to give and receive.

• My Steem Hood & Its Peeps

As far as I am traveling, I have visited several communities, in which I have shared, in one more and in others less. All very kind. On my first six months (See Link ) I made a post with the intention of thanking you for the support during the first stage, but I also presented the limitations that we have as human beings and that prevents us from sharing as we would like, when we are in many places. I am happy to belong to these communities.

You know, you are the first person that I recall mentioning tags as something which confused them and you are bloody right! haha!!! I completely forgot how confusing the tags here were when I started... because they were! They didn't operate like tags on other social media platforms and I had no idea what I was doing!

Thank you for sharing your story!
