“So what do we do? Anything. Something. So long as we just don't sit there. If we screw it up, start over. Try something else. If we wait until we've satisfied all the uncertainties, it may be too late. - Lee Iacocca”

Woke up feeling a little anxious this morning, but threw my feet on the floor – put my trainers on, stood up, shoved my headphones in and headed out. The air was fresh with an approaching Winter chill, but as it smacked itself against my skin it felt like an internal wakeup call. There are so many things I love about walking in the early morning and the often brutal chill of the air is one of them. I suppose it is not unlike having a cold shower – it sheds you of all the fogginess, aligns your senses and ignites passion for the moments which await you in the day ahead.

Not even ten minutes into a much needed conversation as my feet made their way along the gravel road, every little bit of anxiety and emotional angst I had been carrying disappeared – GONE! It is incredible really; the power a simple voice can hold when you know that person truly cares about your well-being and only want the best for you. I went from feeling like a tightly wound spring, to smiling again because I had been given the reassurance I have so often sought… that everything would be ok – and so would I. It felt good – So good!

“To be deeply loved, means a willingness to cut yourself wide open, exposing your vulnerabilities... hopes, hurts, fears and flaws. Hiding behind the highlight reel of who you are, is the real you and that person is just as worthy of love. There is nothing more terrifying or fulfilling, than complete love, it's worth the risk... reach for it.” ― Jaeda DeWalt

Love, appreciation and happiness – it is all any of us really seek, not so?! Take away the money, materialism and everything else which is nothing more than puddle deep – what else do any of us as individuals actually crave, more than those three things?! It is a simple recipe really and I guess, as you make your way through life and its twists and turns – you discover more than once, that in order to attain such you have to be trust and willing to make the choices which steer you in the right direction and place your face toward the sun.

“Starting over can be the scariest thing in the entire world, whether it’s leaving a lover, a school, a team, a friend or anything else that feels like a core part of our identity but when your gut is telling you that something here isn’t right or feels unsafe, I really want you to listen and trust in that voice.” ― Jennifer Elisabeth

I recall how absolutely petrified I was about approaching “life” as I went through my divorce. I honestly didn’t think I had what it took – but I did. A hard time, sure… but at the end of the day it only added to my character strength. You simply HAVE to listen to that “little voice” which nudges you along your way sometimes less subtly than others – it really IS the only voice which counts, because it is the voice of your SOUL and carries a message and direction more powerful than even your wildest dreams. Letting go of the fears we hold is probably the single most difficult thing we experience in our living years – but that process is also one of the most liberating. Change is not easy for most, but it is a part of the process.

“There is something beautiful about a blank canvas, the nothingness of the beginning that is so simple and breathtakingly pure. It’s the paint that changes its meaning and the hand that creates the story. Every piece begins the same, but in the end they are all uniquely different.” ― Piper Payne

Deciding to take a different path or to start over does not mean there was no value from whence you came. Every single step we take in life holds its own magnitude – the TRUE lesson lies in realising when that teacher has offered you everything it has to give… and accepting the fact that it is time to move on so that you can continue to grow – evolve, if you will. Once you have made that decision… embrace it, run with it – make the changes you so desperately crave and find your happy place!

“80% of people’s complaints are about situations that can be changed in one day. The other 20% are about real complaints that can’t be changed, and then what does complaining about it do? So you’re unhappy about the situation you’re in? Change it. Now. Cut the ropes. Don’t text her back. Change your job. Learn a new skill. Sell your house and move to a new city. Start over. Get healthy, start running. Or play tennis. Or anything that gets you moving. Cut out processed food. Cut out sugar. Read books. Listen to audiobooks. Or watch YouTube videos. You live in a time where there are zero excuses. You can do anything you want! You want a new life? Well, you can have it? But no one will hand it to you on a silver plate, you will have to stand up from that couch and go get it yourself. Because no one else cares. No one cares about how you live your life but you.” ― Charlotte Eriksson

Are things perfect? Well, I suppose that depends on how I look at it all. Sure, I could sit here and wallow but for the first time in my life I am actually able to stand here and say I am not going to do that. I appreciate it all – the good, the bad… all of it, but I also acknowledge that now it is my time to keep walking forward… and I am really excited about that… it feels right – for me. Life is a truly beautiful adventure when you look at things from the right angles.

“I'm packing my life in a bag again, saying goodbye and writing the last letters. It's been a long journey, back and forth, hide and seek, but this time it's different. This time I am different. I'm not sure where I want to end up but I know how to get there, or at least the first direction, the first turn, the first sunset. I'm longing for peace. I'm longing for borrowed guitars and detachment. Horizons, cheap whiskey straight from the bottle and your hands in mine.” ― Charlotte Eriksson

Knowing someone cares, truly cares, can be the most wonderful and comforting feeling, especially in a world where many do not care about anything or anyone but themselves. Some have the ability to give more than they take though, thankfully.

Everything you require to be your best self or to live your best life is within you Jaynie. Sometimes it takes some kind words and genuine care from an external source to help you tap into it though; A hug, a touch, a kind word and reminder that you are truly wonderful or a simple statement like, I care for you...Even if it sometimes comes out wrong, the speaker doesn't have the ability to articulate their thoughts, the caring is still there, and so it has power. Once done, you've tapped into your inner-amazingness...Well, it's easier to take that next step, and then the next. That way lies the future.

You'll be ok and the adventure will be wondrous.

So I am learning.

Once done, you've tapped into your inner-amazingness...Well, it's easier to take that next step, and then the next. That way lies the future.

Also discovering this...

You'll be ok and the adventure will be wondrous.

I am optimistic... :)
