These are my five ...

WHAT

(What Hive offers you as an individual)

For almost two years now, the blockchain rules my life. Especially in the first 1 1/2 years when I posted once a day I had to plan my days carefully, because I didn't write my posts in advance but fresh every day and mostly with photos which were not older than a few days, if not from the same day anyway.

Shortly after the beginning of the Covid crisis I lost my motivation to post somehow and if I had not found the #AlphabetHunt hosted by the great woman and artist @barbara-orenya, I probably would have posted even less than once a week ... but I have found this fun challenge and what I start I always end 😉

So now, back to the question what the Hive offers to me...
The Hive is a place where I can be whenever I want and share not only my photos, but also my life and where I can share in other people's lives. Although I keep private things private, there are also things which only the Hive and my family knows about me and nobody else (and some things not even my wife knows 😅).

There's no other so called social platform that would be really comparable to the Hive in my eyes - there's no other platform in which I trust like I trust the people in the Hive.

WHY

(How Hive is different to other social media and blogging platforms)

Like I sait in WHAT, there's no other platform in which I trust as much as I trust in the Hive and in the people here.

Always when someone asks me what's the difference to other social media platforms I have to smile, because images of (half eaten) lunchs or dinners come into my mind, which you don't see here ... well, you can see these photos here too, but not all the time like on Farcebook for example.

Originality, uniqueness, fairness, friendship, support or engagement would be the next keywords which come into my mind.
I can support the original and unique work of my friends and others by curating their posts - here a Like is worth something. I engage by giving feedback on posts and reply to the comments I get on my posts.

WHO

(People & spaces you find Hive support and gain enthusiasm from)

I cannot talk about all the friends I have met here on the Hive, because it might be too much for the blockchain 😉

But I can name a few like that guy from Texas who showered me with comments and questions a few months after my start on the blockchain. I believe he is still the unbeaten king of the Engagement League, which is run by Asher @abh12345, although he's no active member anymore. Most of you might know that I mean @janton, the creator of the "Austrian Mountain Goat" 🤣

I don't think that there are many other comments on the blockchain which are as deeply nested like the ones I had with JJ - @tattoodjay, who taught me that there are 3 kinds of Kiwis: the nickname of the people from New Zealand, the bird wich cannot fly and the Kiwi fruit which we all know. BTW, my profile image is a Kiwi too and this was one of the first macro photos I took quite some years ago.

I think these two were the first friends I have met on the blockchain, but many others followed from Russia to South Africa and from Australia to PEI and the rest of America and the world. So, I don't want to name all here. The two above should be enough for today and if you feel I should have mentioned you, please tell me in the comments and I will apologize with a beer or more 😉

There are a few communities where I'm a member, but at the moment I feel best in the Feel Good Community, not only because of the #AlphabetHunt challenge though 😉

I have been using @PeakD (https://peakd.com) exclusively for a long time, but since lately I'm often using my phone for commenting or replying, I began using also @Ecency (https://ecency.com) a few weeks ago on my phone as well as on the PC.

So, what else could I say?

I love the Hive and it is the best thing that could ever happen to me. I get so much inspiration through you all, but over all I have fun - although it's sometimes hard to find the time for engaging more, I enjoy it and every single word I wite and every single minute I'm here means fun for me 😊

You might ask yourself why I have added these photos and not normal dividers or horizontal lines between the W's. Well, I have photographed a few yellow flowers in my parent's garden last weekend and I forgot to ask my mum which flowers they are. I have searched for hours and found out only one flower's name, and even this one I'm not sure. That's why I have decided to add them as dividers to this post.

Haha, when I made the photo for the #AlphabetHunt "I" I have made a few more versions of the selfie. One of these came very handy today 🤣

Every few days I get some comments from @janton and it's always nice to hear that he is well and his new business runs fine.

If I hadn't tried the #AlphabetHunt I don't know if I would still be posting, but as I said, I end what I begin ;)

Right, you have told me about @Ecency and that you use only this app for the Hive. I use it most times too now, although there are a few things which I don't like much. I also get error messages in the new phone app, but over all it's a great app.

I hoped you wouldn't mind me tagging you. I just took the names which came to my mind first, and if you don't feel like making this post, I won't mind, because at first I didn't want to make it either, but then I began... 😊

Almost two years and you are still waxing strong. I'm glad you found something motivating that made you continue posting after the pandemic issue made you lost interest.

I'm happy the #alphabethunt has generated so many interactions between us all @johannpiber , and I can say I know you better through not only the posts but the comments you make on all the other's hunt...This is quite the same for me, organising a long challenge has challenged me to be more present and I discovered I like to encourage, help, motivate, and promote the joyful and the enjoyable...
Blogging every day is great but we need to renew ourselves, to refresh our desire to share and show, I'm glad you stayed and continue to show us your wonderful photos, you are so talented photograph ! Love this yellow flower by the way and can not help you for the name..😉

The #AlphabetHunt challenge is great because the only theme that is given is one single letter, and what we do with it is our own business, as long as we follow the few easy rules.
We see so much from the others lifes and their countries and everyone is curious on the other's words and posts ... great, just great fun and motivation for us all 😁

The Covid situation was not bad for me, but it has taken much motivation from me and your challenge has really saved my Hive blogging life somehow, I believe :)

Love your post Johann and great idea using the pretty yellow flowers as a divider.

Your selfie picture is hilarious.🤣 Hive is a great site and as long as we are having fun the price of crypto (up or down) is put on the back burner. We have been on the blockchain about the same time and you are one of my favorite people making it fun and enjoyable. 🤗 We learn so much from each other and each other’s country and customs.

I also feel the same as you; I enjoy every minute I spend in Hive and I'm very happy that I have found a lot of friendly people, including you, here.

Good morning @kohsamui99, and thank you so much for searching, but I could have told you before that it's no easy task.
I have found a few names, but I'm not sure if they are correct, and when I name something in my posts I want to be at least almost sure.
Usually I take some more photos of the flowers for an easier search, but sometimes I forget to do that ... and so sometimes I find nothing or too many similar flowers 😉

Yep the problem is there are to many species of every specie like looking for a needle in a haystack but like you said it is nice to get it as close as possible if not the right name but it can certainly be time consuming indeed but we try 🤔

Hive most definitely is a fun place to share, evoking comments and enjoyment in what each person presents.

Agree with you Hive draws one back to communicate in a meaningful way on topics, there are never enough hours in the day to visit everyone!

BTW I stick to a PC with keyboard, using a cellphone would endanger most readers to words I do not know so Peakd is my new home. You can teach an old dog some new tricks just don't push it too far!

I think that we all think about the same of the Hive, at least us "older" Hivers. I'm half as long as you on the blockchain, but I think after two years I belong more to the old ones too ;)

I also do prefer a PC and editing my photos or posting would be impossible for me without a computer with big monitor. But when the evening is nice I love to sit outside on the balcony or make a break somewhere aside the road when I'm on a ride, and use my phone for voting and commenting, although I hate the small display and typing is pure horror.

I adore @janton and @tattoodjay. We go back three or four platforms now. Yikes. Maybe more. :) You are very inspiring to follow around, nesting comments with the best of them. I feel like I am losing momentum, too much on my plate and not enough time to do anything about it. But, knowing others have felt that way makes me not feel so alone.

I know that many of you have been on other platforms before and I am glad that I have found you all - we think the same about these two "boys" 😊 I had or better said have so much fun with them - @janton leaves a comment from time to time and JJ is back 😁

Yes, it's really the same with me - there's so much I have but it's the lack of time that hinders me most, especially when the weather is nice in Summer ;)
I can do a lot of commenting at work, but editing photos and posting is not as easy because that takes more time which I don't have much. So, I'll have to wait until I retire like JJ to have any time of the world 😁
