#LEARNANDEARN Contest Week 01# || What Did You Learn This Week?
I was invited to join in this unique contest Learn and Earn that was originally created by @brittandjosie on the other platform. She ran it for 30 weeks and was successful. The idea behind the contest is the ability for members of Hive to share with each other any information they learn each week.
Now, with her permission, @jizzyjoe has revised the contest and plans to run it on Hive. You may share a minimum of 5 items and a maximum of 7. This is an awesome way to connect with others and impart knowledge others may not know or have heard about, but don't have the details.
Below are the items I learned or heard about this week:
Hive Fest: Virtually
Did you know that you can attend HiveFest without leaving home? Well, a few days ago, I saw a post from @brittandjosie that she already registered. So now, she's just waiting to attend virtually. How cool is that? Time is running out to register. If you can't attend in person, why not enjoy all HiveFest has to offer by being a virtual attendee. Check out @brittandjosie's post here. Fractal Art
When it comes to creating online art, I must say I'm not proficient in how to accomplish it. In my quest to discover different ways to illustrate digital art, I found fractal art. However, "fractal art" goes way beyond digital art in that it's a form of art in various irregular shapes and curves that are created utilizing algorithms. I read posts regularly authored by @deeanndmathews. Some of her posts contain the most amazing digital artwork. She stated she utilizes the program Apophysis 2.09. So I downloaded the program and attempted to create a fractal art project. How does it look?

Online Friendships
Even though you can't touch them, or even maybe sometimes see them for their true identities, I learned from responses to my post a few days ago that there are individuals who are concerning about my well being, take the time to let me know, and wish me every success in my journey on Hive. Thank you for your support and kindness. You know who you are.
Time Is Not My Friend
I was presented with several challenges and contests today. I'll have to choose carefully which ones I want to pursue. There isn't enough time to tackle all of them if their deadlines run concurrently. I must decide which ones to spend my time on and still have enough time to myself at the end of the day to wind down from it all.
Local Food Bank
As I watched the evening news, I discovered the extreme food shortages occurring at our local Food Bank. I obtained the location and hours for the nearest Food Bank so I could drop off non-perishable donations for the remaining holiday season for individuals who are in need. To give with no expectation of receiving anything in return is a great feeling. Why not do the same for food organizations in your areas.

That's a good one you learnt this week, thanks to your post I got to know about fractal art and what it means. That's a beautiful design you made, combining different colors to come out so uniquely.
Most times we have a lot to accomplish with so little time on our hands, one just have to work with priority. To give to those who truly are in need is a great accomplishment, one that gives your soul a sense of satisfaction. I only hope we show that act of kindness towards others.

Yes, you did, and thanks for your kind words. The fact was that I had absolutely no idea what I was doing, but kept at it like a dog with a bone!
