Bouldersunday and catsnaps, ก้อนหินและแมวส้ม

The weather today is very foggy and grey with no sunshine which reminds me of an autumn Sunday in Europe. This mood is very fitting for #bouldersunday (by @shasta) with my orange cat in a #catsnaps (by @manorvillemike). I caught one of my cats sitting on a big rock in the garden. But when I wanted to take his picture, Joan ran up to me. So I had to pick him up and put him on the rock again. I did ask him to stay there for a minute for which he obligingly did for me.

He was not very pleased and gave me his tongue as a gentle protest. My cats used to be quite disturbed whenever I pointed my camera-phone at them. Slowly they had resigned to the fact that this probably was my silly game to disturb their sleep. I was glad that finally they did not show any fear of the small box but showed me that they were bored with my silly game.

My cats are now three years old. How time flies by imperceptibly! Suddenly things have changed a lot after three years. My cats are no longer tiny kittens I tried to tame and their big brother was dead over a year ago. The grandmother cat is now living with my rich and kind neighbours. After my friend’s visit with his three kittens, I found out that my cats were afraid of those kittens. So, I could not bring any new kittens into the house. I will have to wait for the right ones to come along one day.

อากาศวันนี้มีหมอกเต็มท้องฟ้า ไม่มีวี่แววของแสงอาทิตย์เลย ทำให้อุณหภูมิลดลงมากจนเรารู้สึกหนาว อากาศเหมือนวันอาทิตย์ในฤดูใบไม้ร่วงที่ยุโรปเลย ทำให้ขี้เกียจและง่วงนอนมาก เราต้องหาเรื่องเขียนเพื่อให้พลังงานตนเองมากขึ้น ก็ต้องพึ่งแมวส้มของเราอีกแล้ว ตอนนี้แมวมีอายุสามขวบแล้ว ทุกอย่างเปลี่ยนไปอย่างรวดเร็วในสามปี แมวสองตัวไม่ตัวเล็กเหมือนตอนเป็นลูกแมวเล็กๆที่เราพยายามทำให้เชื่องเมื่อสามปีก่อน พี่ชายตัวโตของแมวส้มก็ตายไปครบหนึ่งปีแล้ว เราก็ยังคงคิดถึงมันอยู่บ่อยๆ แม่ของมันหายออกจากบ้านไปสองปีแล้ว ส่วนยายแมวก็ย้ายไปอยู่กับเพื่อนบ้าน มันน่าใจหายมากที่เวลาหมุนไปเร็วมากจนเราแทบจะตั้งตัวไม่ทัน กับความเปลี่ยนแปลง

เราขอให้เจ้าจอมกลับไปนั่งบนก้อนหินใหม่ มันกระโดดลงมาหาเราก่อนที่เราจะถ่ายรูปทัน จอมก็ใจดีมากยอมนั่งให้เราถ่ายรูปจนเสร็จ แต่ท่าทางมันค่อนข้างเขินเพราะคงไม่ชอบกล้องถ่ายรูปนัก เราเห็นมดแดงเดินเป็นแถวที่หลังกัอนหิน มิน่ามีนจึงไม่อยากนั่งนานไป ส่วนเจ้าขวัญตอนนี้อ้วนมาก แมวแต่ละตัวหนักเกือบสามกิโลแล้ว ทำให้อุ้มยากมาก เราเห็นแมวเริ่มทะเลาะกันเองเรื่องแย่งที่นอน เราไม่เข้าใจว่าปกติใครจะขึ้นไปนอนบนโต๊ะก่อนก็ไม่เคยมีปัญหา แต่ตอนนี้มันเริ่มปล้ำกันจนกระทั่งอีกตัวหนึ่งต้องยอมลวไปนอนที่พื้น แล้วสักพักใหญ่มันก็กลับมาคืนดีกัน เราคงต้องคอยสังเกตการณ์ต่อไป ส่วนเรื่องการหาลูกแมวมาเพิ่มนั้นคงต้องยกเลิกไป เพื่อนเอาลูกแมวมาที่บ้านสามตัว ปรากฎว่าแมวส้มกลัวลูกแมวมาก มันวิ่งหนีขึ้นบ้านไปหลบมุม เราก็คงต้องปล่อยให้เป็นไปตามธรรมชาติ ถ้าจะมีแมวมาหาที่บ้านเหมือนถูกส่งมาให้ เราก็คงจะได้ลูกแมวที่เหมาะสมเอง

Recently I saw frequent fights between the orange cats for the sleeping spot. It was not very serious but one cat would have to surrender and went on the floor. Ten minutes later, they would forget about their quarrel and become loving to each other again. They have no psychological scars or memories from their quarrels. I found this quite amazing as in this way there is peace for the rest of the day.
