Hi Hivers,
with this post I participate in the beautiful initiative created by @jaynie for the PowerHouseCreatives community (https://peakd.com/c/hive-114105/created).

Thanks for giving me the opportunity to take a trip back in time :)

I joined Steem Hive on March 5, 2019, my first two posts were: a post about the DrugWars game and a post about Actifit.
I don't consider these two posts as "real" posts because they were easy to write and very poor in content.

My first real post was a review of Tim Burton's Dumbo movie.
My first post was also a small disappointment.
As you can see from the following photo, many people have read my review and I have received a great reward :)

I was totally inexperienced, did not know markdown well and did not know all the tags and it took me a long time to write my first post, convinced that many would like it.
Result: 3 upvotes and 6 comments.

I didn't lose heart and the Dumbo post was followed by many other posts.
Today my heart beats only for Hive, I enjoy writing and so far I have published 670 posts and above all I have met many beautiful people with whom I interact every day.

I wrote my first post only in Italian and so below I do the English translation of my review of the now distant 11th April 2019.

My first ever HIVE BLOG POST

Dumbo and Tim Burton : A winning combination?

On Sunday, taken by the hand of my little five and a half year old Chiara and together with my wife, I went to the cinema to see Tim Burton's reinterpretation of the Disney masterpiece "Dumbo".

Do you know who Tim Burton is?

Well if you have the (un) luck of being my 40s, you will surely remember Edward Scissorhands, a melancholy but intense 1990 film. If you are younger, you will surely remember 2005's "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" or "Alice in Wonderland" from 2010 or "Planet of the Apes" from 2001. Those listed are just some of Tim Burton's directorial films. But now let's go back to talking about Dumbo ...

Have you ever associated a color with a film?

I do. I like to associate a color with every movie I watch and "Dumbo" has only one dominant color: gray.
The gray? But who likes gray?
In fact it is a color that few or no people really like. The cute little Dumbo himself is gray in color.
But the gray background that pervades much of the film has a very specific function, that of highlighting the color and warmth of good feelings, which become, in doing so, even deeper and brighter. Similarly, negative feelings such as selfishness, oppression and greed are amplified in their negativity.

Is it worth seeing Dumbo?

I'm certainly not a film critic, but a simple dad who evaluates what he sees based on the emotions the film arouses in me and I got emotional. The film touched me because it puts values very dear to me in the foreground:

The family

The family is the predominant value of the whole film.
The bond between the two brothers, left without a mother, and their father returned (without an arm) from the war is indissoluble.
It is touching the mutual protection between the mother elephant and her little elephant.
There is a strong bond of friendship and sharing between the members of the circus who, even if they do not have blood ties typical of a family, support each other and team up as they do, or should do, in every household.

Diversity as an added value.

We live in a world where diversity is seen, unfortunately, with more and more fear and contempt. Bullying and the overpowering of the weakest are evils that are so ugly but also diffuse.Great merit of the film is that it has succeeded in transmitting the message that diversity is a great added value. The little dumbo seen as a monster at first, becomes a real star.

The interview.

To conclude, I would like to report a short interview I gave to a young but promising film critic:

I: Chiara did you like the film?
Chiara: Daddy it was beautiful.

Film that I recommend to see and if you have young children I recommend it a lot :)

If you have arrived here it means that I have managed to transmit a bit of my emotions and so I thank you.
