BEST TRIP OF MY LIFE

This is one trip I don't forget that's because of the baby experience I got on this particular trip.
This happen to be my first trip to Abuja (FCT, Nigeria) and I was actually going there for my convocation ceremony in 2018 (well, that's another long side of my story, let's concentrate on the trip 😂😂).
I decided to travel by road on that fateful day and it was my first trip alone to a new environment. I took an early bus leaving for Abuja that morning, next to me was this beautiful baby girl and her mother. The moment I entered the bus, I smiled to the little toddler and she smiled back, and I said hello to the mother and she returned the pleasantry.

On our way to Abuja, I brought out a book from my mini bag with me and started to read (which is actually my travel habit🤓🤓). The little beautiful baby started stepping on my book and when I raise my head, she'd smile and I will also smile back, and this went on for some time. It got to a point, I stopped raising my head, and the baby started crying 😭😭, I raise my head and started saying sorry but she didn't stop crying, the mother also tried making her feel comfortable but still, she wouldn't stop crying. To everyone's surprise in the bus, she stretched her hands (like her telling me to carry her), and everyone started laughing, well, I quickly drop my book and stretch my hands towards her (boom! She won, the attention she wanted, she finally got it), she quickly rush into my arms, and immediately she stopped crying. 😂😂😂

The mother stretch her arms to carry her, but she refused going back to her mother, I told the mother not to worry, she felt the child will bother me, I was like, just relax, it's alright. The baby was one jolly good fellow, we played together in the bus, when we stopped to get food at a restaurant, she wouldn't go back to her mother, myself the mother and the little baby get to share a table, after we finished eating we all returned to the bus.

As the journey continued, we played even more and it got to a point we was acting out, and the mother said she wants to sleep. I position her on my lap, rest her head to my chest and watch her as she sleep. 👨‍❤️‍💋‍👨👨‍❤️‍💋‍👨 It was a beautiful sight to watch, I felt peace and was relaxed. The mother stare at me and said thank you, I ask why and she said, the baby has not been feeling well for days and she has barely have enough sleep and she's happy I could put her to sleep. I felt like crying (but I didn't cry), right there, I looked back at the whole journey and I understood the first smile I shared with the baby. I ask about her name, the mother said Naomi. I told her, Naomi love attention no doubt, but she was able to make me happy as much as I made her happy.

She later woke up after some hours, and she didn't leave my side. When we got to Abuja, I was worried she would cry when I want to come down from the bus, so, I playfully looked at her, and say, Hey Naomi (she smiled), I'm Godstime, I will soon come down from this Bus but promise me you wouldn't cry (she smiled so loudly), and then I said to her, I will take that as a yes. Then I ask the mother to stretch her hands towards her, she did and Naomi went to her mother without crying. We all laugh so loud in the bus. I got to where I'm to stop,I said my goodbye and came down.

Note: I don't know anywhere in Abuja, but because of that encounter, Naomi's mom was the one that guide me on how I will reach my destination in Abuja, the whole experience was designed by God, I needed the right guide, so I was given a task to make Naomi Happy. That was one beautiful trip for me, and that weekend at my convocation was super amazing.

There you have it, the best trip of my life, you can share yours as well. This is my 9th day of the 30 days blog challenge, we have @macchiata, @wolfofstreet, @suffgrace, @lauramica, @pejupops and @starstrings01 already on this challenge. Awwn.. this is beautiful. I enjoyed the story. Did you share contact with the mother?. Weird question though.

I smiled through out while reading this story. It's was really fun reading through. Your story gave me my best smile for the day.

Thank you. I actually did not exchange contact with the mom, at some point I questioned myself why I didn't do that, I'd really love to want to keep in touch. I'm glad you were smiling, even me, anything I remember the experience, I smile. Thanks once again.

Yeah let's say you kept in touch, you could end up being the Godfather of that little child.

You both had a connecting spirit.

Yea, I told myself that, like you said, we have a connecting spirit and I feel I will see her soon again.
