A Sun Explosion!

115.JPG

Patience paid off as the sun exploded over the mountain edge!

Some mornings I just have that lucky touch and today is such a day. I woke up very early and asked myself; "Myself, what's up for you today"? Myself said; "Get up and get your positive bum outside, I have something to show you".
Here's the results!

039.JPG

A very positive sign here above, as the past days have been dense with dark rain clouds, but not this morning!

017.JPG

The moon was also watching the sunrise and winked at me!

099.JPG

I took about 50 shots and selected only a few to show you our magnificent sunrise this morning!

108.JPG

Yeah, I am a sunray junky and these sights told me that everything is going to be okay!

153 2.JPG

As I rounded the corner to go and make some coffee, I was lucky to get this shot!

It was indeed an interesting morning and exactly what I needed.
We all have dark patches in our lives and I am no exception, but my habit is to carry mine on my own. To endure in silence and just to carry on doing my own thing.
The one thing that I know and the message that I show here today, is that we all know that the sun will shine again.

I leave you with this;

And you did very well Zac, getting up was a very good idea 😊

I love it when the sun breaks through the clouds and it looks like an explosion as you say 💥

That saying is great, wished everybody would think the same.

Have a great day Zac 😄

Good evening Hannes,

After seeing your photos I know that you can do so much more with the photos in my post and maybe I must send you some to play with?

It looked like an explosion, as the wind suddenly ripped the coud away that was in front of the sun.
Oh yeah, I think that I will paste that saying in all of my posts from now on lol.

Hope that you also had a good day.

Cheers and thanks!

Good evening Zac,

my day was good but hot. After I finished my work earlier today I went for a ride around the town and the lake.
Now I'm tired from the short night and tomorrow morning I want to go for a longer ride somewhere. So I think I call it a day 😴

Your day began great and I hope the rest was like the sunrise 😀

That saying is great, no matter that I have said that already 😆

Haha, my friend, you are the one who does not edit the photos and they are still great 👍😁

I wish you a good night and a great day tomorrow Zac 😊

Hi Hannes,

A good sleep will be kind to you my friend.
Hopefully by tomorrow you will be super charged again.

Yeah, after the sunrise we went to get some stuff from the shps and then made a detour to the beach.
I was determened to get more shots of the fishing Egret and spent some time with him. Voila he caught 5 fish right in front of me. Of course I also got a heap of shots of other things at the beach.

Hahaha, I had you in mind when I posted that saying.

Now, now, young man, you are very humble, but just between us, your photos are much greater.
Mine are the basics and yours are perfection. I am not shy to say this because I believe in the truth.

May you have a restful and peaceful sleep my friend! Good Night to you guys!

Btw. Here's the Egret that I posted an hour ago!

Good morning Zac 😊

If the weather had been as hoped and as it was the past days I would have replied in the evening, but after a quite nice morning it started to rain, just as I was in Slovenia on my second mountain pass.

I didn't turn around because that pass road I just rode up is even slippery when it's dry. So I canceled my plan to shoot a waterfall and trees and rode another way home which included 2 more passes. It was slippery but I rode carefully back home.

This was in Italy where the rain made a short break:

I don't want to argue and just say "birds and birds in flight" 😉

Have a wonderful day Zac 🤗

Good evening Hannes,

Firstly I will say that the photo here took my breath away! Now I am so jealous, as I also want to ride with you there lol.
Mother nature certainly played another joke on you with the rain, but glad that made a sensible decision on that slippery road on the pass.

I had one of those torrid days. Had to sit with Marian at the dentist first thing in the morning and then the scoop of the day. The stove in this house packed up. Finally finished.
So I took the tools out and stripped the stove. My own fault as the stove had only two plates working and I was putting off fixing the other two plates.
I tested the circuits and found one element gone in the hot drawer and two energy regulator switches kaput.

Now for the bad news. There's no spares available for the stove, as they were discontinued in the early eighties. It's an old stove that weighs the same as a car hahaha. So, what now?

Well, we went to one of the local appliance dealers and we bought a new, gas stove. Half of my savings gone.
Then I visited a used goods dealer, showed him a picture of the old stove and he came here to look at it.
Yes, he bought it for a tip, but there's more bad news.
I helped him to load that big thing into his truck and my finger got trapped between the stove frame at the bottom and the truck's tail gate. Cut open at the top and below I bled like a pig on steroids because I take blood thinning tablets and thankfully the finger is not broken. Just swollen and starting to turn a nice shade of blue.

The news is that I am not allowed to connect the gas stove, as I am not a certified gas installer. Oh yes, it's going to cost us more to get an installer to do it and to get the safety certificate.
In the meantime we will make food on my camping burner hahaha.

I then came and sat down here to do my second post today and now I am busy with the replies!

But I have to say that the Austrian mountain goat certainly knows how to take a great photo hahaha.

Blessings and thanks!

Ps. If you don't mind I will keep this photo, as it talks to me. Guaranteed that I will never use it anywhere else!

Good morning Zac,

well, that's what I would call a bad day ... and I moan about a few water drops 😉

Which finger did you hurt? Hopefully not the one that presses the shutter button.

We have been talking about gas and that it would scare me. So I think it is a good idea to have it installed by a professional. I would never be able to sleep anymore if I did it myself and did something wrong.

Of course you can have that smartphone photo (edited with the Snapseed app). I have made some photos with my camera too, but didn't want to turn the computer on yesterday.

In the evening I wanted to make a post of my rainy ride, but the @ecency app on my phone somehow didn't want to save it and so typing on the phone for half an hour was for nothing 🙃

I hope your Wednesday will be better than your Tuesday, but I believe after such a day it can only get better 😄🌞

Hey Johan, would you mind giving some details on your issue, we want to fix that. By save, do you mean publishing didn't work or you wanted to save post as a draft? Thank you, appreciate your help making Ecency better! 🙇

Thanks for your reply 😊

I opened a draft, which I have made on the PC days before, on Ecency mobile, because I haven't found a template function. I have edited some text and then wanted to delete not necessary parts from the draft. Ecency deleted more than I have selected and it was all a mess. This happened a few times and then Ecency suddenly switched to my feed.
There's no automatic saving function?

By the way: why stay drafts as drafts although I publish the post? My latest post is there as draft twice.
I would love to have templates like I had them in PeakD. Then I could make one just for mobile posting in case the draft was "too much" for the app.

Good evening Hannes,

Yeah thank you, no accidents today and it was my ring finger that got caught. I wear a Sterling wedding band and it must have hooked in the stove's thermofan motor frame. But much better today.

Went to the gas plant to buy a 9kg gas bottle and the gas fittings plus the hose for the stove.
Finished the connection and the stove is ready, but the gas inspector is only coming tomorrow morning to inspect my work and to issue us with a safety certificate. At a huge cost of course.

Yeah, if you don't understand the gas requirements, best would get a pro to do it.
Especially for the safety aspect as gas bottles can blow a house up.
Fortunately I have worked with both Argon and Acetytelene gasses before, so I know the connections.
The worst gas that we worked with is called Ammonia gas, that they use to refrigerate the large cold rooms at the meat processing plants. Pure poison that stuff.

Thank you, I love reflections on mirror water and that photo is indeed a great one.

Like I said, I will rather wait for @ecency to settle before I go in there again.

Thank you for the kind wishes my friend!

Cheers and thanks!

Good evening Zac,

fine, then you had a good day, and you could install the gas stove.
I thought the installation has also to be done by a professional.
So you only pay for someone who takes a look at it? What if he doesn't see an error you have made and your house explodes? Will they pay for it? I think they would blame you.

I know that you know what you do, but we have a saying "the devil never sleeps"... you know I hate gas and it scares me.

I have seen you have made more replies, so, just in case I fall asleep while I'm replying, I say now have a good night Zac 😊

I like that!

Kindness is the new cool.

We had gorgeous sun behind the clouds just the other day, I snapped it with my cellphone but it really did not do any justice to that sight! But how true, the sun will always shine again, even if we have a long period of darkness!
Take care my friend & stay blessed:)

Thank you Lady Lizzie!

With your cell phone? I thought that you go around with your camera hinging around your neck hahaha.
But maybe that's not a good idea, as it can get stuck in the tumbledrier and Whirlpool you around lol.

Yes, indeed, that's the way that I see life and it works for me every time. The sun will always shine after a storm.

There's another saying that I like; "Don't say a word. unless you can improve on the silence"

Blessings also to you guys and we are all lucky to have escaped the virus thus far.

Sounds familiar, I too prefer to be left on my own to mull through periods when down in the dumps, outdoors on my own definitely overcomes those periods in time.

Splendid early morning photography of moon and sun, bird in early flight after wet weather.

Yes in total agreement with the quote, it makes for more balanced lifestyle.

Agreed and thank you Lady Joan,

There are non of us on this planet that don't go through dark periods and it all depends on how one handles it.
Screaming, fighting and revenge are all for the birds. Crying and wailing has never fixed a problem.
The way that works for me, (not for everyone), is to align myself to my inner peace and I can only do that alone in nature. Isolation is my cure.

Yes indeed, I was caught a little but unawares as the naughty wind whipped that cloud so quick off the face of the sun, that it looked like an explosion of sheer blinding light. Somebody had a laugh up there lol.

Glad that you also liked the quote my friend.

Btw, is your signal sorted out now?

Hope that you guys will have a blessed week.

No stable signal yet, electrician is coming tomorrow to install the booster, hopefully that helps another unexpected expense thanks to Telkom!

Perhaps that sun explosion will happen in life soon, light up a way out of this gloom!

Electrician installing a booster???
Please remenber to take a photo of it Lady Joan, as I don't think that I have seen one before.
I have seen guys put up very high steel poles and some even towers with large dishes on them.

You know that they call Telkom, Hellkom.
Will NEVER see us again.

One question here. Surely the MTN signal must be available there? What town is it again where you live?

Blessings!

Run around yesterday but the pole and booster went up, not getting quite what we were hoping for but 3mbps download and approximately 7mbps upload, we will have to cope for 2 year when fibre will hopefully arrive.

Will take photo when outdoors again to show you, living in the hills one may/or may not get a signal, we are in the second category hence trying to obtain some height.

Hellkom will never see us again, still moving all my email, letting people know no landline is available, plenty to do when you have been with them for 40 years....

BTW MTN did work, very expensive route to follow, we went with RAIN to meet our requirements.

Glad that you are least getting something to keep you guys going Lady Joan.
2 years are not so long to survive and looking forward to your photo. Maybe you can do a post about your struggles to stay connected?

Wow, 40 years and you got treated like that. But we had an offer recently to sign up for Fibre, but they are also very expensive. We cannot afford the cheapest package of R499 per month. We pay R249 per month at Cell C for 200 Gigs.

The bonus is that now Cell C surfs on the MTN towers which has drastically improved our signal.

Blessings!

Sounds like you had quite a wonderful experience. The pictures are lovely, especially that shot of the moon! I'm guessing you used a telescope for that one, could you tell me which one?

Nice post, short and sweet!
