Wednesday Walk - Greeting the Horses and New Bird in the Neighborhood...
Off we go for another Wednesday Walk. JJ wants to come...

We checked out the pond to see if any of the duck families were there but there were none.

We did see and hear the tree sparrows flitting around the trees.

Further down the road the horses came to greet us.

When we turned back into our yard I found a grey jay sitting on top of our lawn chair.

When he saw us he flew to a close by tree watching us.

Up at the top of the lane the mountain ash tree was full of berries added some color to the landscape and the well house tucked in the woods added a bit of charm.

JJ and Bruno going on walks most unusual for a cat...
Stepping out as a family down the lanes that are so lush and green at the moment makes me jealous, when I look out my window the lawns are brown waiting for rains to arrive once again.
Ducks must have moved onto another pond with better feeding, or started preparing to move for winter months, that you will have to tell me if/when your ducks start to fly.
Grey jay has a lovely little face, nice photography from walk on the day.
!tip
JJ just goes to the end of the lane with us then but not onto the main grid road for he knows it is not safe for him with all the dogs we have in the neighborhood.
I think the ducklings must be able to fly now and would be starting to bunch up getting ready for migration. The geese are starting to migrate now - I've seen flocks of them. No flocks of ducks yet though but they stay later then the geese.
Hope you get your rains soon! We have one more week then we can start to expect frost so I have been turning my mind to harvesting and getting ready to bring some stuff in to the indoor garden so I can keep growing all year long.
