Street Fruit Carts of local Market | Fruit Shopping at a Cheap Price!

(Edited)

Ever wonder, how the street market is surviving in this lockdown for the pandemic?

Yesterday I went to buy some fruit but couldn't find any cart on the street. Because of the recent lockdown authority is not allowing any street market. I can understand the reason, I can buy products from the malls but be really feeling worried about the street vendors!

These are some pictures from last Friday when I bought some fresh fruit from the street carts. The best thing about the street carts is you don't have to pay much but you will find good quality. The fruits may not look lucrative as they are not carefully selected & rejected like the super shop fruits but the quality is almost similar.

This is the marketplace, just one street away from my living place. You see, there are carts after carts with a lot of fruits.

One thing I can't resist mentioning that these fruits are well affordable for many, like low-income people. You see the fallen single grapes, they usually get sold at a very cheap price. The quality is not good but people at least can have the taste.

And our locally grown watermelon!

The cart owner usually offers to cut a slice of the melon, like this so you can get to see what you are buying, you can also reject buying if you don't like the color or texture; which you will not get in the super shops.

You may wonder, why so much fruit at once. Well, my son is a fruit lover, he eats fruit as a snack, so...

Imported fruits. Are not freshen now a days. Our local fruits are good to eat and full of vitamin.

It's true, the fruit takes longer to import because of the covid situation. But we don't have many alternatives to imported fruits, no? Like our locally grown malta/orange/grape are not high quality.
I usually also buy our local fruits like guava, papaya, sofeda, and more. So it balances up!
Thanks for going through my post :)

The watermelon looks so sweet. Good thing the cart owner slices the watermelon to let you see a glimpse of what's inside. Will they let you taste it too?

Staying healthy is very important, i'm just worried how those street vendors will survive and some of them have families😑.

Hmmm let's hope for the best.
