Thriving & Hiving-Keeping a Positive Body & Minding...my own Business

Hello to all you Hivers

for me one of the biggest challenges in any of the stages of quarantine has been keeping a positive mindset. Emotions ebb and flow as we are constantly bombarded with information that's not always accurate and is almost certainly misleading much of the time. It can be a daunting task to find some sort of perspective in all that's happening around us.

I try to keep my days full. It's a little easier to fill a day if we have divers at the shop but there aren't many people here diving frequently enough to keep us in anything that resembles a normal daily and weekly operation.

So I've kept myself on point by a combination of learning new skills and trying to stay healthy.

For my mind I've been learning to speak and read Japanese. I'm really enjoying it and can only hope I get to revisit Japan one day and try and flex the language muscles I've been building.

For the body my punch bag has been my saviour. I don't know what I would have done in quarantine without it. I'm no boxer but it's so much fun and doing interval training with the bag was key in keeping myself in a good state of mind and body as if you feel good physically it 100% helps your mind.

Also being able to play around with making video and having #3speak as an outlet adds another task to be completed.

I think all in all it's better to have some focus. The #hive also, I believe, has been a very healthy place for me to spend time. I've learned a lot and met some new and interesting people in here and have enjoyed the engagement immensely.

Stay safe and healthy people and above all keep positive in body and mind. Focus on whats important and not bother yourself with the irrelevant. It's a waste of positive energy.

Take care

Ciao!

Yeah, it's good to make your day busy to avoid creating our mind make an illness that it doesn't exist.

By the way, I love to learn Japanese as well. Is someone tutoring you or a free site?
