Rocket Fuel Coffee Morning Ramble-Fresh Perspective

Good Morning all you Hivers!

8C06A8F21B4B4920A5B2DA782F93B4D5.jpeg

have you ever played one of those word games and you just can't see the last word in the puzzle. You stare at it for ever keep trying things over and over again and then someone leans over your shoulder and say ahh it's "Forensic" or whatever the last word you could not see was. Now it's not that they are way smarter than you but that they looked at the problem with fresh eyes. Without realising you'd got into a circular thinking pattern and just could not see the wood for the trees and round in circles your brain went.

I am kind of feeling I have been doing something similar recently and even though it's difficult to do right now I need to detach myself from things maybe for a day or 2 and come back and look with fresh eyes. I may have a small window of opportunity to do this on the weekend. I realised last night as my mind went over and over the same things that I was in effect in that word game and the solution is likely to be in front of me. As yet nobody has leaned over my shoulder and presented me with the obvious answer so I feel the need to look away for a while and return to the conundrum later.

Come what may a fresh perspective on a few things right now would be a good thing as when things look a little bleak and you try to stay positive it's frustrating when solutions are not presenting themselves but a relief when they do and it was in fact not so complicated after all.

Let's chuck some coffee down my neck for now and see what today will bring to the table.

Thanks for reading much appreciated and feel free to throw any comments in as I love the engagement on the #hive

Stay safe out there people wherever you may be on the planet

Thank you for this post - stepping back and taking stock from a different view certainly helps see the trees from the forest.

It is something I think we all need to do from time to time to be able to continue with our growth

I have highlighted this post to increase engagement

Same thing happens to me (in a less metaphorical way) when I am writing. You fail to see the right twist or line.

You also fail to see mistakes, it happens to me when translating. I usually let it rest for a day or two if I can.

It's amazing how you can see things differently with fresh eyes.

And I truly believe that letting a problem or situation cool down or just focusing your mind on something else, helps you gain perspective. You may even have an epiphany in the process hehe.

Anyway, I felt related to your post @scubahead

Thank you for sharing

:) love that my post resonated. I agree with what you said also. Let things cool down before tackling things is often the best way

Yes I have had this problem many times, and you are right it is good to be able to walk away for some time and come back with a fresh perspective. This has happened to me many times and I have been able to come back and quickly finish up instead of struggling to get it done. Good points about this.

I think mostly we all need step back from time to time-I know I had to. Especial if you involved in many things-like I do.
@scubahead great post.

I so get this @scubahead, that is why I typically take the weekend off as far as online. So when I come back on monday it feels different and fresh.

A fresh perspective, whether it's yours or somebody else's, is always a good thing.

I find that when I am writing content, it is good for me to step away for a bit and then come back and reread it before posting to see if there is a nugget I forgot to add (it also helps me catch spelling and grammar mistakes).

Agree... Taking a break, or as they use to say "leave the pillow to think about it", is always a good option for solving a certain problem... FOMO-ing into the problem, rushing the solution usually leads to a bad decision...

Besides that, I would suggest you to try to look at the puzzle from a bigger distance, maybe you will see a bigger picture... That can help in solving it... ;)

Cheers!

My father was one of those crafty, math-mind, problem-solver types. One day he told us all how he solved the toughest problems. At night, when he was about to go to sleep, he would present the problem to his mind and tell it to find the solution by morning. More often than not, it would be there waiting for him to execute on in the morning!
