A Peek In My Camera Bag

I thought it would be nice to take you all through the content in my old and worn out camera bag. Its funny, a few months before now I had just the very old and first Nikon DSLR, okay maybe not the first but one of the first I guess. The Nikon D3000, oh what a good companion it was for me a newbie. I recently acquired another Nikon, just 200 steps up and hopefully I should make a post about that soon. The new one, new to me anyways, came with an extra lens, lens hood and cap and also the Nikon camera bag which you see in the above photo. Lets take a peek through the bag shall we?

Well looky looky my wooky, okay that was dumb I just made it up, haha. Here is an overview of its content. Two pocket hole to the right where I keep my 18-50mm kit lens in the top one and my camera charger box in the one below. To the left its just one large pocket whole where I keep the main camera and my 55-200mm zoom lens and every other miscellaneous. Pretty scattered looking inn'it? Different other pocket all and around, I wont get into that.

Here is my sweet sweet baby. Its a Nikon D3200 as you must have seen and it pretty packs a punch even though it is an entry level DSLR. So far, I have been satisfied with the results it has produced, and maybe I haven't even gotten a full hang of it, but I do love my new tool. The screen also is big enough I guess and its not very heavy and of course it provides for a very good and firm grip.

This is definitely the most precious gear of any photographer, the lens. It has the whole power to take creative photos. What air is to human is what the lens is to the camera, okay I don't think that was a good metaphor. On the left hand is my kit lens 18-55mm. It is the lens that comes with any new camera just as a sort of test but it is pretty good to start off and one can acquire better and more sophisticated lens as time goes on. It looks a bit old because I changed it with my other camera lens. It has VR which stands for vibration reduction and reduces blur in images. On the right is the zoom lens 55-200mm that came as an add-on. It does not have VR so I mostly have to bump up my shutter speed to compensate for that.

The deal was a no-brainer for me. I got the whole package for around $200. I had to use all my savings and I don't regret it. So there you have it, Stevenson's camera bag and gear. They are all pretty entry level and not very high-end but I can say that I have grown and I am still growing.
