My first ever HIVE BLOG POST challenge - Joy of Riding Motorcycle

Oh boy!! Share your first post ever was the idea of @jaynie.. I mean, what was she thinking right?? But then, most of us who read her post did scroll down memory lane to actually see what was our first ever post.. And it was fun doing so..

Now those days I was new into the blogging community and it was @firepower who introduced me to Steem.. Still glad that I joined it and made my first ever post three years ago on June 2, 2017!! And this was it:

Whoever said money can't buy happiness, definitely never owned a motorcycle!! A motorcycle isn't just a vehicle that moves you from place to place, it's an experience every time you ride it.

My cousin sister from Mumbai is the reason i had got a passion to learn motorcycle years back. But my interest in motorcycles materialised quickly in Bangalore. Most of us remember when we first fell in love with our significant other, but I remember when I fell in love with motorcycles. It was during my first trip to Bangalore in the year 2000, when i bumbled my way into first gear and rode across the streets with my uncle sitting behind and guiding me.

Unlike any other purchase I can conceive of, a motorcycle changes you. You're not just a guy with a motorcycle; you're a rider. You feel cooler, and you ARE cooler. I remember getting my Bajaj Pulsar 150 Dts-i, in November 2003 finally, thanks to my parents. While riding it down the highway i could hear the wind boom, each bump in the pavement gently pushed me like a wave on a boat. My eyes could hardly believe what they saw; the motorcycle disappeared and i was only aware of the world i was streaking through.

I am not posting this up because I think I had some unique nirvana moment on a motorcycle, but because I believe the opposite: anyone can have this experience. I would have never considered riding a motorcycle if I didn't see my cousin sister (who is short) riding it in Mumbai, and I worry that other non-riders feel the same way, and may go through their lives without this experience. So my suggestion to you is to go take a motorcycle class and ride. You'll probably love it.

"Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming, 'Wow! What a Ride!'"

It was all about riding Motorbikes back then.. I made an introductory post 3 days later.. It took me a lot of time and effort to reach where I am on the blockchain now.. But it was all worth the ride!!
