Berry Creme Compote - a new tea

My love affair with coffee is well known and knows few bounds. It's such an in-depth fascination, in fact, that I've written several poems to express my deep-felt desire. One such sample:

I'll drink coffee in the morning;
I'll drink coffee in the night;
Coffee is good with friends,
and just as good shared with a clown.
Dark, light, or medium, I give little thought;
Pass it on over, and I'll drink that fucker down.

Perhaps surprisingly, then, this is not a post about coffee, but rather about tea. I actually also enjoy a good tea but, unlike coffee which I prefer to be bitter, I prefer teas with flavour behind them.

This weekend I happened upon a tea variety that was brand new to me: a berry creme compote. This is an herbal tea which is much unlike the ground, tiny tea flakes one finds in a grocery. Instead, this is much more a hearty tea that is meant to not just be enjoyed by taste, but visually as well.

Yes, I happen to have a glass tea pot with an infuser in the middle, designed for just such a purpose. Look at that yummy herbal goodness in there; that's not just tea leaves, but entire chunks of dried fruit as well.

When steeped, it has a nice rich colour to it, much nicer than the "standard black" of generic black teas. And the aroma! Definitely berry infused.

This is a tea to not just be enjoyed, but savoured. I will admit that I was very dubious about the "creme" portion of the drink, but I was pleasantly surprised to find I was mistaken. This was indeed a smooth, berry and creme filled drink that was just perfect for a young spring evening.

The tea, in my favourite tea-cup, a one-of-a-kind made by my youngest son

I will definitely be a repeat customer for this one.

I'm a tea person myself and my favourite is Chamomile due to it gives me a really calming effect.
Especially after a whole day at work, a nicely brewed cup of hot tea is what I need most.
If it was during the day, my booster would be Earl Grey

I'm a big fan of Earl Grey too, in fact. There is also a "Lady Grey" variety that's just as tasty. Herbal teas are great for the evening; no caffeine, but still tasty.

Tell me more about this tea, where to get it? Where did you get that tea pot?
Not really a fan of hot tea, but I think I could grow more towards it with
These items, the flavor and the infuser pot. (especially that it is clear glass)

Yep, you found the tea, and it definitely isn't terribly cheap. Really good though! The tea pot was a gift, so I've no idea where it came from. It's really nice though!
