Piece of Mind

This is an old piece that I drew a number of years ago (I can tell by the way Stanley looks; his look has streamlined since) when I was working for a large corporation with nearly 100,000 employees. I never want to do that again. It was a horrible experience; at one point we were all "mandated" to work an additional 10% longer every week on the grounds that it would make us all 10% more productive.

This particular strip came about from a very long all-hands meeting we were attending (virtually, via webex) in which there was a definite lack of information but an overabundance of spin and smoke. It's bad enough to get that from politicians, but to be expected to accept that claptrap from your corporate headmasters is insulting. I wasn't much longer there.
