Open Church: Call for volunteers to be featured for future Open Church posts

Welcome to church! Open Church is a weekly post that aims to be a place where Christians on Hive can hang out, encourage and build up one another, and reflect the love of Christ. The church is not a building, but is made up of people who have been transformed by God’s grace.

Each week I will be putting up a new post with a new topic or theme for discussion. But feel free to come here just to fellowship and be a blessing to one another. Whatever denominational background your from, or if you’re just curious about the Christian faith, everyone is welcome.

So feel free to share a link to your favourite worship song, share a word of encouragement, a prayer request, or introduce yourself.

Call for volunteers to be featured for future Open Church posts

In the Open Church post last week, I called for suggestions for future posts. Thank you to all who provided suggestions.

In response to feedback, I have decided to include more community participation in future Open Church posts. I would like to have some of our trusted community members be interviewed or share their testimony. So on some weeks, I will be interviewing a member of the community, and allowing them to lead us that particular week. This way, we will hopefully get to know more individuals in our Christian community and be encouraged by one another. The person who is featured on the Open Church post for that week will receive all the liquid HBD funds for that post.

If you would like to be involved in a future interview for Open Church, please contact me on Discord nextgen622#9647 or drop me a comment in the replies below.

For this week, as usual, please feel free to share anything that’s on your heart, a scripture, a song, or a word of encouragement.

Blessings
Jimmy

Wow this is good I am in.
When having my quiet time this morning, something so great strucked my mind and i am going to share it here, it says;
It is good to make positive confessions, but the power of your prophecy is determined by the owner of your tongue.

So now the question is, who is in charge of your tongue, who is the owner of your tongue, whose word do you say more frequently, whose song do you sing frequently, do you speak the word of God always or the words of the devil? Do you sing the devil's song (worldly song) or its God's song you sing.

You know its not possible to say God's word on Monday and then on Tuesday you say the devil's word, like wise you can't sing Christian songs on Wednesday and then sing worldly songs on Thursday, its either you choose one, you can't serve two masters at a time, and besides hot and cold water cannot come out from the same source, neither do a river brings forth both sweet and bitter water, its impossible.
You can't deceive God. Choose the words you would love to be coming out of your mouth,or else if you can't choose now then do not expect to dabble around godly and foul words and expect God to hear you out when you say positive declaration. When the devil owns your tongue you do not expect God to come struggle with him, do you? It is until you decide who will govern your tongue, God or the devil, if you choose God then good for you.

Hope you have learnt, please you can share more insight as you understand.
Thanks.
Happy new month all.

Yes, a very good lesson you are sharing.
We are in the world but not from the world. Our words and actions must be different from the world's.
Blessings.
