How I see God's love

God's love is something humans can't comprehend but we can still express it in our own way to ascertain that we are of God that we are his and we love him as well by sharing the love among brethren. Without loving each other we can't love God and which means we are not of his Kingdom.

According to the book of 1 John 4:8-20, Apostle John admonishes us to love others and to show love with practical actions that seek to benefit others. He is not talking about feelings of concern, but deliberate choices to help people with their needs.

We are to show love for three reasons:

• Love is the very nature of God which he showed by giving his own Son for us. We share his nature because we are born of him.
• Because God loved us, we who have experienced his love, forgiveness, and help are obligated to help others, even at great personal cost.
• If we love one another, God continues to live in us and his love is made complete in us.

Mark 12:30 New International Version (NIV)
30 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’

We do not have to fear God's Judgement if we are in a right relationship with him. His love for us, our love for him and our love for others confirm our spiritual salvation.

Matthew 22:39 New International Version (NIV)
39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’

On a personal note,

I desire to love God more than I am doing now. To be able to leave everything for him without any hesitation and show that love towards others.
